Why were you born? Why does God allow even dedicated Christians to go through years and decades of trials, test and persecution?

The Bible does warn us that we will be misunderstood and persecuted by the world. And we are not promised a smooth ride in this entire life just because we are Christians. Good and bad things happen to everyone. Maybe sometimes it's to test our faith? Maybe it's satan trying to wear down our faith? We just have to be willing to hang in there and trust in God. We are promised our reward after life.

The most effective Christians are often those who have gone through a ton of hard times. It is a powerful testimony when you're going through trials when you can hold your head up and say "God is good" -- I know some people like this who have just had one thing after another happen, and they are the most amazing wonderful people I know. So many people have come to know the Lord's goodness through this family.

Ultimately, knowing God is all that matters, so if my trials can bring someone else to a place where they meet God, I'm willing to go through them. Mercy Me has a song called "Bring the Rain" -- it refers to trials, and says "if that's what it takes to bring You glory, bring the rain" Those of us who know the Lord and His goodness want others to see it. It makes us willing to take on the trials because we know that trials always produce hope.

Sadly, we humans are a selfish bunch, so we often ignore God until we find ourselves in trouble. In those times, we draw near to God, and we receive His blessings as we do so. The best times in life are those when we are drawing near to our Heavenly Father. If it takes trials to get us there, so be it.

Romans 5:3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

God wants us to find the true meaning of life. God created the world with Logic, that's why we have science, but science can't explain everything. God wants to open the universe to us, but we need to believe in him.

I was born because my parents had sex and my mother carried me to term.

God doesn't exist. We go through hard times because life is chaotic. If you think about it, there's really no reason why stuff should all work the way we want it to.
