Not anymore...the "pocket beagle" was a smaller, pointier nosed version of today's beagle and was popular during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
This variety no longer exists. Beagles come in two sizes: under 15 inches and under 13 inches.
There are "under 13 inch beagles" that are about 10 inches tall, but reputable breeders do NOT breed with the goal of producing dogs of this size. Good breeders do sometimes have healthy dogs this size but they are not called anything special or marketed as a special variety.
Many times the modern dogs called "pocket beagles" are smaller because of shortened legs or a health problem called chondodystrophy .
Please go to the Beagle National Breed Club FAQ page on this for more information:

There are two sizes of Beagle accepted by the AKC. There is the 13-15" class and the under 13" class.
A pocket beagle sounds like the work of an unscrupulous breeder to make a few extra bucks on the popularity of small dogs.

Considering there is no such thing as a pocket beagle, Queen Elizabeth or not, I would say it depends on the age of the children. Young children that are well behaved and trained to respect a dog will do fine with most dogs. Toddlers should not be handling tiny dogs as they are delicate. As far as training a dog goes, you get out of a dog what you put into it. If you work hard and are consistent you can train any dog

Someone already said it, but no, there are 2 acceptable sizes of Beagle, 13" and under, and 13" to 15". A very small Beagle would just fall under the smaller of the two categories. People who put silly size names like 'pocket' 'teacup' etc. on dogs are backyard breeders and puppy mills who are trying to trick you into paying too much money for a dog that's probably just the runt of the litter. Don't be fooled!

No there aren't - that's another made up category.
There are two kinds of beagles recognized by the AKC, 16 inch and 19 inch - that's it.
Watch a dog show next time one is one and you will see = beagles are under the "Hound" category - and the ones that are shown are perfect examples of what beagles should look like.

NO! That's just name puppy mills and back yard breeders put on undersized dogs. If you want a beagle than get one from a real reputable breeder.
