Iran is run by religious Muslims that don't let their people have rights! If Fundamentalist Christians ran America then how would we be any different? They would force Homosexuals to stay closeted and make women dress conservative. Abortion would be illegal and there would probably be a law against blasphemy! In schools we would learn about God and be forced to pray!

If we didn't have a constitution and Fundamentalist Christians ran America, I don’t see how we would be much different from these Islamic countries and Medieval Europe! Everything Fundamentalist Christians want to do is being done by Iran and other Islamic countries (except they're Islamic instead of Christian)!

Why do they hate Iran so much if their goal is to make America a Christian version of Iran? How are these Crazy Christians any different than an Islamic terrorist?

The good thing about America is that we have the right to choose what we do and who we worship! Why do Christians want to control what I do so badly? Do they not realize that that’s how things are done in Middle Eastern nations? Have they never heard of Medieval Europe and what things were like when The Church ran everything? Why would our founding fathers leave a Christian nation that oppressed its people just to set up a new one? They didn’t!! And I think we should keep it that way!

I think your real question is contained in your last paragraph and my answer is that the founding fathers were f'ing geniuses.
I don't think for a second that Christian radicals want to make the whole country like them. Those very few who do live in compounds and will get what is coming to them.

Finally,
When I was a kid we were taught to hate the Russians and communism. We were made to believe that in Russia it was like the book "1984" and that everyone wore gray and stood all day in line for bread and they ALL wanted to kill us here in the USA. This spell of propoganda was broken when I was informed by someone who'd BEEN THERE that the Russians were no different than us. The average Russian person wanted life, liberty and the pursiut of happiness just like us, they did not wear gray and all their houses did not look the same. They led happy, interesting lives just like us.
The same goes for Iran!
I recently heard an article on NPR about a rock and roll band from Iran- right now- who, although not allowed to play in public, break the rules and play in basements and garages. They recently came to the USA to put on some shows. I've also heard about open protests and progressive education over there. you must realize that what you see on TV is only what the network wants to show you to back up their story. The average Iranian is OK, he/she does not feel like an oppressed slave and he/she does not want to blow up our buildings. Look up the history of Iran and you will see how their current government was set in place by the people through a revolution.

I do believe you are correct in your first few statements, may I attempt to address some of them: Christians view homosexual activity as being sinful, they do not hate the sinner just the sin. Men get ideas while watching ladies who are scantily clad and women know this. Conservative dress helps men who are weak to wander less making families more secure. Abortion is controversial because pro abortionist are making the decision as opposed to that little one in the womb, if they were informed, they might scream NO!
More importantly, God created everyone in His image and loves each person dearly, no matter what they do or have done. Therefore a baby, created by Him for a purpose, whose life is cut short will prompt The Lord to want some answers come judgment day. Individuals involved in abortion who have not confessed and repented of their sin, who have not accepted Jesus to save them from that judgment, will be forever condemned. So it is with all unconfessed sin.
That brings me to the final response; "Why do Christians want to control what I do so badly?" Because my friend, The Bridge Is Out Ahead! We are told to warn you so your blood will NOT be on our hands. Jesus is the Way, The Truth and the Life -NO one comes to the Father EXCEPT by Him. John 14:1-14

A person who does good things, who is part of a family which do good things, makes a community fruitful and a nation undivided and strong. That is Fundamentally sound I would say.

Yes it would because Iran legally recognizes a Pre-Islamic religion and allows citizens of that religion to worship freely.

The religion in question is the Persian religion of Zoroastrianism -- Which is Dualistic in nature (Supreme Good deity named Ahura Mazda and Supreme Evil deity named Ahriman). This religion also was the first one recorded that spoke of an end-times battle between Good and Evil.....

I do not see the Extreme Fundamentalists allowing for any non-Christian belief if they ever took control. Thank ALL the Gods of All Peoples (Including Jesus) that this has not happened yet.....

Think about the Salem Witch Trials. It'd be like that but 1000x worse. People would be tortured and executed based on gossip and flimsy evidence. It would be horrible. Their philosophy would be "convert or die."

the sad thing about these people is that they truly believe they are doing a good thing by trying to force their beliefs on everyone else. like every other group in history they fail to see the wrong they are doing.
