MATTHEW 28:19 NKJ
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

ACTS 2:38 NKJ
38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Some people place great importance on certain words being spoken when a person is baptized in water. This is all religious tradition with no real meaning whatsoever.

"In the name of Jesus" can mean by the authority and command of Jesus. Colossians 3:17 tells us our every word and deed should be in the name of the Lord Jesus. Certainly, Colossians 3:17 does not mean we have to continually say, "I do this, or say this, in the name of Jesus."

Claiming that certain words must be said at the time of water baptism, or that only certain special people can truly baptize you in water, makes water baptism into a magical rite -- a work of man trying to be right with God.

The words spoken by the person baptizing you in water will not save you, or condemn you. Water baptism is not some magic ritual which makes you right with God. Water baptism is a testimony and picture-sermon of what God did in you.

Even if no words are spoken over you during your water baptism, it is still a picture of burial and resurrection. Specific words are not what is important, but the attitudes and faith of the people involved are what matters.

When baptizing new believers, saying something like, "In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I baptize you into the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit," is probably best. Then the devil cannot tempt them to think they were not baptized in the right name.

Mathhew28:19,20 KJV- The Great Commission

Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizeing them in the name of the Father, and in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, And lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world.

I don't think that exact words are given.
The closest I could find was in Acts 2:38 (KJV)
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. "

Extra-biblically, you can find forms for baptism in missals or prayerbooks published by the specific denominations.

For example, the 1928 Book of Common Prayer (Anglican) uses these words:
"I baptize thee In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen" (Holy Baptism, p. 281)

Hope this helps. God be with you.

All you have to do is baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And any Christian can administer the sacrament of baptism.

It is repeated again and again in the New Testament that it is commanded that you go out and baptize people of all nations in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Well...first you need to have the proper authority to speak for God. Baptism is a promise you make to God to be obedient to Him for the rest of your life. In return God promises the person they will recieve the Holy Ghost and be forgiven of their sins as they repent.

Now, if you want to go making promises for God without His permission, that's your choice. I wouldn't...

Gain the authority and when you do that you can baptize.

Here are the words according to holy scripture (verse 25 is the one that should stand out):

" 23 Verily I say unto you, that whoso repenteth of his sins through your words, and desireth to be baptized in my name, on this wise shall ye baptize them--Behold, ye shall go down and stand in the water, and in my name shall ye baptize them.
24 And now behold, these are the words which ye shall say, calling them by name, saying:
25 Having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
26 And then shall ye immerse them in the water, and come forth again out of the water.
27 And after this manner shall ye baptize in my name; for behold, verily I say unto you, that the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one; and I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one.
28 And according as I have commanded you thus shall ye baptize. And there shall be no disputations among you, as there have hitherto been; neither shall there be disputations among you concerning the points of my doctrine, as there have hitherto been.
29 For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another."

If you are talking about water baptism, you dont need to do that. The ONLY baptism God recognizes today is the baptism of Eph 4:5...and it is done BY the Spirit of God when He places the believer INTO the Body of Christ at the time of BELIEVING.

YOU cannot baptize anyone and are not told to do so.

God will do the only baptizing that will save anyone today.

There are no specific words. It's not a spell that must be followed exactly in order to work. You are to bapise in the name of God. In some Christian denominations they baptise in the name of God the Father. In other denoms they baptise in the name of Jesus (since He was God). In other denoms thay baptise in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (trinitarianism) to ensure that they cover all the bases.

Its a dedication to the principles of Christianity.
