Christian can't answer this question.
They can however spout some biblical passage or say something irrelevant that doesn't really address the question.
Just look at them using the "I can't describe a sunset to a blind man" bull crap lol. That is what you will resort to if you don't know the answer, you say "well, I just explain it to you", or "you just won't understand it".

I'm sorry if my answer doesn't really seem complete, but the answer really is faith. God has always existed, but it's natural for everyone to have a problem comprehending this becuase we've never really known of or seen anything else that doesn't have a beginning and no end. We just know that this is true of God. It really doesn't make much sense if you don't look at it from a religious point and without faith. Even though we can't really run any scientific experiments on this, we know that it says God has always existed in the Bible. With any other book, we look at the title and the author and we believe that the author is the actual one who wrote it. So by looking at the Bible, we see that the author is God. Even though others physically wrote it, God is the One that told the people what to write. So everything in the Bible is God-breathed and is definitely true. None of this will make sense if you do not have faith and it will keep you from believing.
God created the entire universe for a purpose. Everything is made to bring glory and honor to Him. When we look at nature, we are to see and know that God is behind all of it. We see godly people doing great things and reminding us that it is only because of the Heavenly Father that they are able to do these things. They do not deserve the credit. If He did not exist, then nothing would exist. None of us would be here. Nothing made Him, He is, has always been, and always will be.
I hope I answered your question. but if you have any more questions you can just email me and I'll get back to you asap.

I fail to believe the athiest belief of there is nothing after life, its meaningless because there is no greater purpose, we are all a product of energy built up millions of years ago etc. etc.
I knew there had to be something more. I researched different religions, tried some of them out. None had enough evidence for me to roll with that religion. Than I thought "how about christianity" so i tried that, got prayed on and felt the holy spirit fill me up. It was a feeling greater than anything, full of love and peace. I delved into the bible, jumped onto forums (a little like this one) and quizzed other christians none stop, until eventually I had all the proof I needed and came to Jesus.
I find it more logical that something created the earth and we have an existance, rather than we came from nothing and will become nothing. As for where did God come from... I have no idea, i'll ask him one day, but for now I have all the evidence I need, and that is enough for me

Ok, so let's say God doesn't exist. We must then turn to science to learn about the creation of the world. Science says that the universe is eternal-- it's always been here! There was a "big bang" and then the world came into existence. Hmm... seems to me like even atheists have to have faith in something existing for eternity, and then circumstances simply changing in order for the world to be formed.

Good question, which I don't think anyone can fully answer, because our human minds are pretty limited in understanding God, and we will learn much more about Him once we get to heaven.
In comparison, you could say that its like trying to fit a big ball into a small one. God is just so much bigger than our human understanding, we can only comprehend so much.
Anyway, God is God. He has no beginning and no end. He created everything and he is in control of everything.
You are asking why is there something rather than nothing. Imagine the vastness of our universe! I'd rather have someone out there to control all that than have everything just 'evolve' all on its own!
I believe that God made us humans to love, because He himself is love. Does that make sense? Hope it helped.

Can a butterfly fully understand what a human is, or even explain to other butterflies a human encounter?
No one understands. If they do, it is not something easily explained. When one of the children who experienced an apparition of the Blessed Virgin in LaSallette, a doctor came right up to her, and poked her hand with a needle (or maybe it was burned it with a match). The flesh did get injured, but after the apparition ended, the hand was normal, with no sign of a wound and no scarring.
Some rules of physics appear to be nullified in the presence of something like that.

Check out some reading on cosmology - that's the science of the origins of our universe. I can recommend three well-known and well-respected authors: Isaac Asimov, Carl Sagan, and Stephen Hawking, but there are many more to choose from. As an agnostic, you should know the scientific version of creation. Also check out Carl Sagan's Baloney Detector (link below). It's a handy list of fallacies that will enable you to identify the exact type of bad logic your debate opponents are trying to use.

We as people as well as the earth had to come from somewhere. God is the beginning and the end . Is that not what it says in the bible? I think that you have to look even further than faith on this question.
It is an impossible question to answer .
Like this question. After the air and oxygen have been drained from a metal air tank what occupies that space. Its not air or oxygen because that has been drained.

I agree with you that, God is a complicated intelligence, who sits there for eternity(or outside of time) and he decides to create something that is outside of himself.
But at the same time God is the container of all.
Is it for fun! for fun! for fun! Who knows! Creator did not yet inform us and also we could not discover that yet.
Only we have the intelligence and logic to think that, He must exist though his existence can not be proved directly.
Think up to the limit of intelligence and knowlege; you can try to increse these powers. But please dont get lost, dont get lost, dont get M A...... D.

I am agnostic deist. I have no answers to those questions.
I think there is a God and he was the big bang. God could be just energy but I think there is some intelligence there.
Honestly, I just don't know. Just go with what makes sense to you. Ultimately, that is all that we can do, isn't it?

Have you ever been lonely? Even when sitting in a full crowd?
Have you ever wanted children?
Have you ever decided to "make up" friends?
Even though God is so far above me that I cannot comprehend what He is or where He came from, that doesn't mean He's not like us in some ways. After all, we were made in His image (spiritually, not necessarily bodily), I believe. So, why shouldn't He share some of His characteristics with us?
Personally, I don't believe anything or anybody "made" God. But I do believe He made us because He was lonely.
