DavidJE gave you the best answer so far. You could get 6 months in my state for a second DUI. You'd probably get 10 with credit for anytime served. If you plead guilty--which you should--you might get them to drop to speeding or lower it. Get a good lawyer and avoid trial. The speeding could be reckless endangerment and makes the DUI worse. If you got a bad judge you could do 6 months for each in my state. DUI 3 is a felony here.

Depends completely on your state. I have known people in NM with 5 or 6 DUI's, some aggrevated, a slap on the hand is what they got. On the other hand, I got a DUI 2 years ago in AZ, my first, just barely over the legal limit. I spent 10 days in jail.

Get you a good DUI lawyer, take the treatment classes he will send you to. You will probably get off with a hefty fine and lose ur license for a while. And maybe community service. After the money u r going to spend you might finally learn ur lesson.

i could pass with a public defender, no experience in spending massive dollars, once you recognize your responsible as charged. purely face it like a guy and take your punishment Being busted for DUI in California at his age. he will probably get community service. they provide him a itemizing of amenities that he can touch to do his community service. it may something from scooping poop on the humane society to choosing up muddle alongside with the line, to contributing time at a close by charity. he will have a decision as to which one he's able to doing. in the event that they droop his license, they could enable him use it just to pass to artwork. Or they are able to make him deploy a breathe analyzer in his motor vehicle, wherein he has to blow into to force the motor vehicle. He could by no ability attempt this if he has had even one drink, through fact the decide would be ticked if he would not bypass and it may violate his probation, preferable to larger subject concerns stable success Edit: guy i won't be able to believe a number of those solutions. You mentioned this became his 2d in 10 years, which tells me he would not try this in lots of situations, or he's been very fortunate. tell your Dad to delight stay at abode whilst he beverages. If he have been to get into an twist of fate and by threat kill a new child or all and sundry, it may be deveasting, and he could spend years in the back of bars. If he enjoys eating, he could do it at abode

if your state is like Florida, probably the jail sentence will be suspended. This is more likely if you are employed and support children.
Of course, nothing can suspend you from the judgment of the insurance company's underwriters and your next renewal will be for something like 3000 dollars per year. And that'll stay with you for at least three years.

depends....you could get nothing to a few months in jail. How much were you over the limit? You will get a big enough ticket for speeding that bad just by itself.

Depends on the state you're in, the judge you draw, and the prosecutor, and how good an attorney you hire. In the right place, with the right attorney, you might draw diversion and a heft fine.

What are they going to do put you in jail for being awesome? You keep up the good work my friend, and I see a bronze statue of you in a viking helmet and loin cloth directly downtown in your future! Next time they pull you over knee deep in slitz cans you tell them your on your way to watch Tony Stewart race and you can't drive 55!
