I've heard that cardio contributes to muscle deterioration. I've wanted to lose my bulky muscles for years now. Is this cardio rumor true?

cardio burns both - muscle and fat which is the reason body builder stay away from it.
do it 4-6 times a week for 45-60min

Not true at all..... as long as you eat protein in your diet, muscle tissue regenerates every 6 months, like a snake shedding it's skin, so with alot of protein in your diet your muscles will stay healthy and big.
