You can "easily" lose 10 pounds in ten days....IF you don't expect it all to be fat.

With exercise and no carbohydrates, your body could lose 10 pounds of water in that much time.

One pound is 3500 calories. Ten pounds is 35000 calories. To actually work off 10 pounds of fat in 10 days you need to burn 3500 calories more per day then you take in. On average the body burns 2000 calories daily. This means that even if you don't eat anything and maintain normal activities you still won't be burning enough calories to lose a pound a day. A female athlete who is training daily burns around 3000 calories. Still not enough! Burning 35000 calories in 10 days is not really reasonable but I won't tell you it's impossible.

If it's the weight you need off (for instance you want to fit into a dress for a specific occasion) then water weight lost may be good enough for you. An extremely low carbohydrate diet will help you lose water weight because carbohydrates participate in binding water in the body.

You're right the FIRST time, it IS unhealthy & impossible- unless you want losing that 10 pounds to be the LAST thing you ever do... You didn't gain that extra weight overnight- so you're NOT going to lose it that way- either. Keep eating those veggies & walking those miles, & you'll get rid of those pounds- eventually... (just NOT in 10 days). Hang in there- & good luck! :)

I have to say this but yes, it is unhealthy.

Steady weight loss is the best.

Are you eating snacks?

Cardio exercise alone may not be enough. You need to build some(lean) muscle to help boost your metabolism to burn more.

Here's an interesting article on Cardio - why it is a waste of time

http://lose-quick-weight.blogspot.com/2007/08/lose-quick-weight-cardio-is-waste-of.html

Best to combine minimum of 20 minutes of resistance training followed by a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio before breakfast.

And also drink plenty of water, sleep well, and no late night snacks.

It is possible...... you have to do fast paced cardio 2 times a day, 30 minutes each session.... eat NO fat and drink only water..... eat protein.... shrimp and rice, I lived on that for a week and lost 7 pounds in 7 days.

Not a smart idea, but if it is a must like *celebrities* liquid diets, fruits & vegetables (but check which ones first-not all are as good for you as they seem) moderate exercise for long periods (walk, swim) hopefully you will have the energy to even exercise-doubt you can last long running or high intensity off liquids.

Strength training and conditioning and weight resistance. I know you might think lifting would make you big and bulking but if you do more reps and less weight you will lose wight instead of gaining bulk.
