Hi, I'm a 13-year-old girl whose always been told to follow her dreams. My dreams are I want to be an actress and grow up living a happy and comfortable lifestyle. My parents agreed so I went to audition for an acting school. Before I even got into the school, a manager signed me on. About a year later, I signed on with a well known agent in L.A. I've been to tons of auditions, and they all tell me I'm a very talented person, and they want me. But the problem is, I have braces. They all want to use me and my face, when I get my braces off, which is in a month. I'm very excited, until I found out that if I feel like taking a break from the acting world, my 6-year-old sister can use my contract and go to auditions. To me, that's not fair. Everybody says shes adorable, and that her face would be great on t.v. She tells everone that shes gonna be a movie star. At first, it was ok, but then my own friend told me that "we put the wrong kid in acting school." That really hurt. Please help!!!

My mom was the one who agreed to use my contract with my sister. Please, i can't really get mad at my mom, but i've worked so hard for this and I really am going to break down and cry. Just a couple days ago, my sister said "wow it would be really cool to be on t.v. all by myself. Not with any of you guys, just me." Now I know shes only 6, and she doesn't know better, but that's really rude. My other sister is shy and want to be an artist, which shes really good at art. I want my 6-year-old sister to find her own hobby. Acting is kinda mine. I know thats shes a kid, and she goes through hobbies and interests quickly, but this has been going on for years. Please, I really, really feel like I'm gonna cry. I won't, but I also feel like dropping out of acting school and letting my sister take all the fame and my dream. Luckily, I realize that I've worked way to hard for this and I can't quit now. Please help me.

There is nothing that I can do to help you sweetie, but to tell you to FOLLOW your dreams and disregard what anyone says. You say you are the actress? then prove it! I want to see your face on tv. Your sis will have to wait her turn no matter how cute and adorable she may be. This is YOUR time to shine girl, you go for it and follow your dreams till you acheive them. Tell your fam. that you worked hard for that job and lifestyle and you want it badly. Once again, your sis will have to prove herself worthy, not just use your contract. That is yours!!!!!

Listen to me: If you really desire to be an actress, you must excuse your sister and anyone else who is striving to fulfill their dream. When you go to interviews there are other girls there too, right? But do you walk out! No! You had continue to strive for your dream, so why are discourage about your sister? Just keep working hard to make your dream happen for you...

Your dentist should of gave you INVISIBLE braces. Ask you mom to check into this matter for you. It is obvious that your are also an adorable girl as well because you got some good reviews. Good luck and God bless.

You expect to be on tv without her, what's wrong with her wanting the same thing? It's not a competition. So what if you are both on the same contract? At least you will both have the opportunity to follow your dreams. Quit being selfish, your sister gets to follow her dreams too.

hey,im an actress,im thirteen, and i have an agency.

if i were you, i would tell your sister that this is your dream, and you want it as badly as anyone right now.

tell her that you worked as much and very very hard, and tell her she is only six, and has the world to herself to experience, and she will find something that she likes the best that fits her.

hope this helps, and break a leg!

My dear, you have so much more life ahead of you. A month is a very short time. Besides, somebody's gotta play the kid with braces! Why not you?

I'm not sure your sister can use your contract, but if you are taking a break what does it hurt if she goes to auditions?
