A person's body extracts all of the digestible nourishment from that food. That part goes into building and rebuilding the body and into being metabolized as energy. Anything liquid or solid that is left over ends up as waste going down the toilet. Add it all up and that is what happened to that 3kg.

Some is used up in heat such as wood does in a fire. Some is used to replace cells that have died already. Some is used to replenish the fat storage. Most of it is passed through the body and eliminated as waste material.

Your body doesn't absorb all of that weight.

Let's say you consume 3 kg of food.
Let's say your body absorbs 1 kg

The rest will come out through urine or a bowel movement.

You're body strips the food down. Protein, Carbs, and Fat and uses what it needs what ever is left is restroom content or body fat.
