take the piercing OUT. you could be allergic to the metal or it could have gotten badly infected. trust me, you dont want a cartilage infection. take it out, go to the doctor because if your cartilage is infected you definitely need antibiotics. you can always go and try to re-pierce it in a few months once it has healed, but it isnt worth the chance of leaving it in and losing part of your ear due to an extensive cartilage infection. good luck.
"Cartilage piercing, a popular choice among many people, can cause deformation of the ear’s cartilage.
If cartilage piercing is not cared for correctly a person can get “cauliflower ear,” which is a large lump that forms from the piercing.
In some cases the infection can be cured with antibiotics but because of poor circulation to the cartilage, the medicine may not reach the infection and it may not work.
The infection could then turn into a severe bacterial infection that eats away at the cartilage. In extreme cases the infected tissue then has to be surgically removed."

Did they do it witha gun or a needle? If they did it with a gun and there is a backing to an earing on there all the backing is doing is collecting bacteria. So go to the nearest piercing/tattoo shop and have them change it to a surgical steel ring. it will heal better. iF THERE is a little bump next to it it can be a keloid you can heal that with tea tree oil or sea salt. You can find both products at any pharmacy. And remember keep your hands away from it because your hands are the dirtiest part of your body and cartalage takes any where from 4-8 months to fully heal so take good care of it. Good luck

Hi, if it do not heal within 3 months that means they pierce the wrong spot . See the doctor & give up on that holes.
When everything was fine sue that pierce centre or just go & pierce again another spot :)

That’s because it’s cartilage and is the hardest thing to heal. It probably wasn’t pierced correctly. You should go see your doctor if you have medical, if not just take out the piercing and wait till it heals to try it again.

I've never had my ears pierced but I'd suggest wiping the area with alcohol during the day, and overnight put on some Neosporin ointment (antibiotic ointment) and cover it with a Band-Aid. SEE BELOW FOR THE NEOSPORIN WEBSITE. If your ear doesn't look better by the next day, I'd go to a doctor. Hope this helps.

Unfortunatly It sounds like you will have to take it out before you get a nasty infection. Or bare it. Methlylalated spirits works well also, try putting some on a cotton wool ball and then dab on the ear.

Alot of people have complications with their peircings. I'm assuming you've followed your peircers instructions, and its not working or getting worse. You can go back and see your peircer and ask for additional advice on how to heal it. But without knowing specifically what is wrong with the peircing its hard to tell you what to do.

Take it out. Piercings in cartilage sometimes don't heal. I toughed mine out for over a year - they never healed. It's not worth it!
