I am a pretty healthy normal 19 year old female! But about 6 months ago i found a lump on the bottom of my abdomen... I didn't pay much attention to it then but since then it has gotten bigger! Now I also have a lump on the top of my abdomen just below my left rib cage! I know that people say it could be a hernia or cysts but i am afraid that it is much more since there is now two lumps! I am def. not pregnant and i don't take any medications besides an iorn pill for my anemia! I keep telling myself that it is probelly nothing but then part of me thinks that it could be something serious like cancer.....can anyone give me some advice! Should i go to my doctor and have some blood work done...or other tests! Thank You for all of your Help!!!

I know that i should have payed more attention when i noticed the first lump but do you really think it is something serious!!

Although cancer is rare at your age, an unusual lump is actually a classic sign of cancer for a young adult . . and it may be the only symptom you have. I disagree that it could be anything. Lumps in the abdomen are uncommon and anything that is growing and has now produced two lumps is extremely suspicious. This could be a sarcoma or it could be ovarian or uterine cancers . . none of these types of cancer have symptoms (other than a lump or bump) or pain until the advanced stages. Do not wait any longer . . tell your parents today and call a doctor for an immediate exam. This is extremely serious and delaying could cost you your life.

Even if this turns out to be something other than cancer, at least you will have been examined and now you know that you should never delay something as critical as this. Any type of problem in the abdomen should never be ignored.

Incidentally the fact that you are anemic could also be considered a symptom for cancer along with the lumps. My son was also anemic right before being diagnosed with stage IV abdominal sarcoma at the age of 17. His type of disease is predominately males, but their are females too.
There is no single organ of origin for the disease, although it typically presents as multiple tumors in the abdomin. Females often can present with uterine or ovarian disease:

No one here has any way of knowing if you actually have cancer, the only sure way to find out is to be clinically examined by a doctor. Be persistent until you have a definitive diagnosis.

Best to you.

You should get all unusual lumps that develop suddenly in your body checked. The lumps can be benign or malignant. The only way to tell is to go see a doctor for testing.

Also, let your doctor know if you are also having other symptoms like:
acute weight loss
constant fatigue
fainting
aches and pains, etc.?

Absolutely see your doctor! There are many, many things which can cause lumps--most of them are not cancer. But--you don't want to take any chances. Never be afraid to make an appointment because you're afraid you'll look "silly" if there is nothing wrong. Also, never put off seeing a doctor because you don't want to hear "bad" news. If anything is wrong you want to find out about it so you can be treated and cured. Good luck--and make that appointment tomorrow.

You should see a doctor immediately,
My dad died due to colon cancer, at first he ignored all the pain his feeling, then got to a doctor then gave a wrong diagnose until we came to 3rd opinion that its a colon cancer, then, it's too late when we knew it, it's already accute. he was scheduled for several operations but none of it was done due to his weak body.
Cancer is a silent disease, we will only know it when it's already accute or when its too late.
do'nt take any medicine unless prescribed by your doctor, go find and seek for other opinions by doctors for your assurance.

or if you want to take some alternatives, go find grapeseed oil extract, it's a 100mg gel capsule that is more potent than viataminE and C, it's an antioxidant that can cure or prevent cancer from developing (according to some alive testimonials)...

The important thing right now is to find out what those lumps are. You should see a doctor about this as soon as you can.

Yes, it could be cancer. It could also be other things.

elaying diagnosis won't change the diagnosis, but it may change your chance to recover.

See a Dr and get an accurate diagnosis as soon as possible!

Hopefully the Dr will find it is something minor and be able to set your mind at rest.

look, you're worried enough to ask this q here so that tells me you know you should see your doc. don't rely solely on these answers. the longer you wait, the more scared you'll become. talk to your doc.
