When an ear piercing is new, you shouldn't be removing the earring at all. Just clean it with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol, and turn the earring a few times a day to prevent the new growth from adhering to the earring. Since you've taken it out, it's probably gotten contaminated, so this is what I'd do (and it works if your ear ever gets infected, too). Get cotton balls, some rubbing alchohol, and a tube of Neosporin (or similar) ointment; do NOT get the cream. Wash your hands well; remove the earring, and put both the front and the back in a small container of alcohol (the bottle cap will do just fine). Soak a cotton ball in alcohol and clean the ear lobe (or whereever the piercing is), both front and back. Dry the ear with another cotton ball. Get the earring stud/front out of the alcohol, dry it with at CLEAN cotton ball, and dip it into the Neosporin. Insert it into the hole. Get the back out of the alcohol, and put it on the stud without drying it. If you need to dry the ear, use ANOTHER cotton ball (be sure to have plenty of cotton balls, obviously). All this may sting a little, but that's to be expected if the skin is broken and bleeding.

Once you've done that, LEAVE THE EARRING IN until the piercing heals; clean the piercing with cotton balls soaked in alcohol at least once a day WITHOUT removing the earring. It should start to heal pretty rapidly.

It might be infected. Keep cleaning it, maybe even clean it twice or three times a day. And try leaving the earring out for a day or so for it to heal. There may be a small cut in the piercing itself, and every time you put another earring in it, it starts bleeding again. Leave it out for a few days, keep cleaning it, and it will most likely be better in a little bit.

you probably shouldnt have taken it out yet-
it depends where you got it tho: if its in the earlobe, you can remove it after about 1-2 mos.
if its in the cartiladge, it can take up to 2-3 mos.
try leaving the earring in for a while like you did when you got it. If it continues, go back to where you got it done and ask them

That only happens (and don't panic) when your earring holes start to close up due to you not wearing earrings in a while. <3 I would wait until they aren't sore and feel alright to get them repierced. it's no biggie , it's happened to me, too . Hope this helps (:

when i had my ears pierced the man said to take a capful of peroxide every day and dip my ear lobes in it for a few seconds. i did this for about two weeks daily and never had a problem. you may have to get a doctor to check yours. sounds as tho they may be infected.

Apply alcohol several times a day for another 3-5 days. Don't use hydrogen peroxide, because it will enlarge the holes.

It isn't healed. Put it back in and leave it. If I remember correctly you should have left it in for 6-8 wks w/out removing it.

It's normal, it's still healing. It'll stop when it's done healing.
