Yes, you can safely freeze watermelon. However, it will be slushy when you thaw it. Best thing to do with it is to make a watermelon sorbet, or smoothie.

no! think about it! watermelon is made mostly of waier. You are gonna get a really bad tasting watermelon italian ice! haha

my grandma used to make these delicious frozen watermelon balls, she had a little scooper thing and would scoop out little balls and then freeze them in bags for us, kind of like little round popsicles, it was great!
