I don't drink water at all. I just don't like it. How can I start drinking more water? I have tried replacing my drinks at meals with water, but I don't drink it. I am 14, 5'1, and weigh 113lbs. How much should I be drinking a day?

well for starters you are supposed to drink 6 to 7, 8 ounce cups of water a day. I'm 15 years old and 5'6 and weigh 156 with 10% body fat (trying to get to 5%). step 1: take your favorite soda or juice and put a little water into it and drink it how you would normaly drink it. step 2: next day put more water and less soda and drink it how you would normaly drink it.step3 : every day do the same rutine for about 2 to 3 weeks until you have a full cup of water.by the time you have a full cup of water you should be use to drink less sugary breverges and will have a taste for water (the urge for drinking juice and soda will still be there but you have to fight it) if you keep not drinking water you may develop health problems like kedny stones (and man you dont want that because it comes out of your you know what)

You might try the vitamin waters in the super market. They are usually 16 oz. each and have a little flavor. One of those would account for two glasses. You really should drink at least six 8 oz. glasses a day. If you feel thirsty then you are already dehydrated. Play a little game with yourself and make it a point to drink three glasses before noon and three before dinner or supper whatever you call your evening meal. There really is no good replacement for just plain water so I suggest you get a bit tough with yourself and you can do it. One thing I do is after I brush my teeth in the morning I drink an 8 oz. glass. You lose a lot of moisture when you sleep because we usually breath through our mouths. Come on you are 14 and you will have to climb a lot of mountains in your lifetime, this is one of the easier ones and you will grow to like it, I did. Nothing quenches your thirst like water and it helps cleanse your body and get rid of toxins. That is a good thing!

They say that you should drink about 8 glasses (64 ounces) every day, which equates to about 3-4 bottles of water (either 16.9 or 20 fluid oz bottles).

Personally I never drink more than one or two, because I drink other things like tea, milk, and juice, which also satisfy hydration needs. Herbal and/or fruit-flavored teas are a great way to do it if you don't like the taste of plain water. ^^

You might try Aquafina water, though; it tastes better than tap water any day, and better than most of the other bottled waters out there. Taste is pretty much the only reason why I drink it; the fact that it's purified is just a nice add-on. Bottled spring or glacial waters, such as Crystal Geyser, Arrowhead, or Evian, don't taste too good in my experience.

You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Even though you don't like drinking water, just think of it as drinking it for good health. If it does not work, do some exercises. And afterward, I am sure you would want to drink water.

water really is good for your over all health. On an average day, you really only need to drink 6 glasses a day. What a lot of people forget is that there is a lot of water in fruits and other foods like bread- (wich is about 30% water) just make sure you eat enough fruits and juice. You'll get a lot of what you need from just doing this.

You should have 8 glasses a day and what I do I just always have a bottle of water with me wherever I go and I don't drink too much soda. I also add one of the Crystal Lite things that you add to a bottle of water every now and then when I want a little flavor.

You should drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. Umm... If you want to drink more you should drink from a waterbottle, cause it pretty much equals to like 3 glasses of water. And you would probably be tempted to drink the whole water bottle for the hell of it. or not LOL.

I know how you feel. I don't drink water much. But regardless of what health books say;your intake of liquid can be through drinking tea, coffee, Squash, lemonade etc. What you need to be aware of, is the sugar content. Fruit sugar is alright, but not white sugar. So providing you drink the equivalent of eight glasses-11/2 pints a day you'll be fine.In fact you can get serious problems drinking too much water, as it overloads the kidneys.

Excercise and take water with you, believe me, when your hot and sweaty water is just the thing to coll you down and quench your thirst.

Try Crystal light packages. There's many different flavours and they really spice up water.

You should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, which isn't that hard if your excercising and you start right away.

Hope this helps. Bon Chance!
