Your options are as follows, and there are no other choices:
A. Heaven as described in Christianity.
B. Hades as described in Greek legends.
C. Valhalla as described in Norse legends.
D. Simply cease to exist.
If you feel so inclined, explanations would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Note: no reference to "mythology" was used, because it would have to be applied to all or none, and I'm not interested in any whining about "it isn't mythology!".

Grey Raven: Of course I know about the other options, including summerlands. It was actually left out deliberately my friend. There is a reason I picked the options I did. Whether it makes sense or not, there are reasons for what I ask, and how I ask it. Peace and happiness to you and yours.

noncrazed: a LOT of versions are blatanly missing. The choices I gave each cover a basic philosophical point that I'm curious about.

B. -- Specifically the Elysian Fields after drinking from the Pool of Memory
As I am a Hellenic Polytheist, I tend to find most Christian descriptions of Heaven rather boring, and as I am not really into drinking, fighting and other forms of carousing Valhalla does not seem to fit either.

I would like to think that there is some form of heaven that we can transcend to when we die. However, its an idea that's hard to believe in given the fact that everyones idea of heaven is different. Not to mention what religion and mythology have taught us. I don't want to offend anyone, but we have to face reality and understand that after we die we simply cease to exist. So live your life to the fullest and enjoy every minute.

Valhalla most defiantly. If only because I can fight with the best warriors of the ages. I would think I'd be able to kick some serious a55 with a sword...^_^ and when I get killed I just have to wait for the respawn time and I get poofed to a frickin' mess hall and eat to my contentment and then fight some more..it'll be awesome!!!

A, B, C, and D, along with every other conceivable idea are all possible. Since all we rely on to obtain knowledge is our senses, it is impossible to know anything beyond every shadow of doubt, let alone something we have not seen, smelled, tasted, touched, or heard anything about.

well its partly what ssarvj says-which is basically as you sow so shall you reap --so its is the work or karma we do in this life which will determine where we go in our next life--But also our desire is very important and if we decide where we want to go that will happen because we will act in such a way to have that--
and also as he says one fall and you go to hall--well ssarvj -its not exactly like that-- God is very merciful and if someone is sorry for their mistakes they will be forgiven--and hell doesn't last forever either--there is only one sin which is so great that it is pretty much impossible to get out of--and that is to blaspheme the pure vaishnavas or the servants of God or insult them in any way--we should be extremely careful of this because even God won't excuse someone who insults His devotee!
Aside from this -my answer to your question is I want to go in my next life where ever the Lord's pure devotees are--they are very sweet and joyful--

It is not so simple to answer. You continue to exist in a dreamlike state. Remember only the mind exists in reality....before and after death ... only the body is not there after death..... but to the spirit it creates a body ... an astral one and continues to carry on according to its desires and wishes enjoying or suffering as the case may be....construed as heaven or hell!!
It is reborn again to fulfill its incomplete desires and this goes on till there is a "no mind".

I notice that the Jewish version is blatantly missing. Which is the one I pick.
Of course, a lot of people think that the Jews don't have a concept of the afterlife. Which is far from true. Espcially after the Messiah comes.
Since I ascribe to the Jewish faith, as a Hasidic Gentile, then I pick what is promised to me. So your little list of choices, doesn't apply to those of us in everlasting covenants. Sorry to disappoint.

I like the way you asked this...good wording.
I am a Christian so I would obviously have to go with option A....which is pretty much my explanation.Plus, I like streets of Gold..a gate made of a single pearl, mansions and most importantly Praising God...Thank you and have a nice day..

Once you have made your question "Public" you can NOT give choice to answer as per your Dogma. We have no right to decide where we go after death. It is the KARMA of the individual decides. If it is destined One has to take a Re-birth,One's KARMA of the previous birth becomes "Praarabtha KARRMAM" of the next birth. If one's Karma is all + points,One reach Heaven.Re-Birth is one more chance to correct. If one fail ,One goes to Hell
