-He's really active! ( loves to run, play sports, and climb).
-He HATES sitting still and watching TV.
-He L.O.V.E.S. to talk.

Can you please post any ideas to keep him occupied, sleep, or... ANYTHING! I'm desperate!!

Oh and by the way, I have a sprained ankles so I can't do any running.

play dough...kids his age love it...just make sure he doesnt eat it...you can also get him some crayons and paper...tell him to draw something for his parents...other things that you can do with him are catch...try and teach him to throw and catch a ball you can do this inside or outside and you dont really have to move that much just make him get the ball all the time...i know that sounds bad but kids love chasing after things... oh another thing that you could do is water balloons or sidewalk chalk.... by the way it really sucks that you sprained both your ankles...good luck with everything!!!

How about setting up a small obstacle course in or outside the house and if it's hot out water is always a good thing use the sprinkler or if you have one bring over a slip and slide, if you don't have one all you really need is a tarp and get it wet and maybe put some tearless shampoo on it and will make him slide right down it, good luck babysitting can be hard when all they want to do is run!!!!

Play word games with him. Like car games, I spy, etc. This should get him talking and keep him occupied.

Go outside with a hose--water + outside is great fun.

For indoor activities, just give him a vacuum attachment, turn on some music, and let him go! :-)

Try teaching him how to roll a ball. If he likes to talk, then talk to him, like an adult. If all else fails, try reading him a story. Remember that at that age, they have a short attention span.

the next time you babysit him, make sure you bring along a cough syrup (benadryl) it will keep him off his feet and sleep soundly... try it. it won't do any damage/harm..
