Some Christians think that the Jews have an eternal covenant with G-d and will be taken care of accordingly. Other Christians believe that the Jews have to accept Jesus or they will go to Hell. Period.
They also believe that all others will go to Hell unless they accept Jesus.
Most Jews believe that there is a period of purging for unbelievers and then they too will get a type of eternal life. Others believe that those who do not believe, or really evil people, will simply not wake up. This is also close to what some Muslims believe.
Other religions, such as Pagans and Buddaists do not believe in a type of heaven and hell, but instead in a non-permenant afterlife and reincarnation.

All religions in some way hold their own religion as being unique from all others. Weather they damn eachother to hell follows under a very strange category of political correctness. They are all a bunch of hypocrites if you ask me. They all say that man should not judge, but they all have their "rules" that they hold so sacred. The level at which you follow their rules is the level that you are accepted.

Well, my sense of common sense is that nearly all religions would believe only they will go to heaven and the rest will go to hell. It's where strength in numbers lies.
Like when a person realizes that the names most indigenous peoples gave themselves as tribes mean "humans" or "the people" or something like that... Only they would be in the happy hunting ground and the rest would be servants, or nowhere at all, etc., after life. That's speaking of history.
It's like that a little, I guess, only I think nearly everone will be ok, don't you?

I believe that any religion that believes in God thinks that theirs is THE ONE. So, they might think all others will go to hell or heaven depending, if your Faith is Christian or Muslim or Jewish, they all have One God, One Jesus. It's sad to think that even knowing this, there is still fighting about it. Religious wars are not only fought in the middle east. Those of us who are not in an organized Christian religion are always being told by those God fearing Christians that we are going to hell because we don't believe in God..Now, If I didn't believe in God,wouldn't it make sense that I wouldn't believe in Hell??
I know people from most religions, and there are good and bad people in all of them, some zealots, some closed minded, some truly faithful and loving of their God. It all depends on where you are in your faith, I think....sorry,. rambling here...did I answer the question?

Well years and years and years ago it used to be that the Catholic religion was that way. You know the whole pilgrim thing coming to America to escape religious persecution. Then also they believed other religions were going to hell because they used contraceptives and that was thought of as cheating God. But todays standards are different but some groups of Jehovahs still think that way. Notice i said some not all.

Good question. Sorry to say, MOST religions condemn other faiths. But the truth is, finding God is like climbing a mountian - - there are many paths, only one destination. God loves ALL his children equally and would not condemn them to hell. That is just a political tool the religions use to manipulate people.
Just think about it: Would God condemn a good person just because he was born before Jesus preached the Gospel? Or just because he was born into a society that had only primitive or pagan beliefs. What about a truly good person who was raised by athiests? See, all the "me good, you bad" stuff just doesn't make sense.

Heaven is attainable to all who believe.
The christian bible teaches many thing but the one that should stand out in ALL Christians heads is "
Thou shalt NOT judge lest ye be judged."
So as far as I am concerned your soul and faith are your own. As a human I can not say who will or will not go to heaven. It is not my choice nor my right to say.
Nor is it my right by virtue of being human and christian to say one religion is better than another or that one is the true religion.
Religion is based on docrtine. Faith is not. Faith is believing in something you can not see and living with the hope that you have lived according to your faith in whatever God you serve.

Fundamentalist Protestants,Feeneyite Ex Catholics,ROCOR Eastern Orthodox,Wisconsin Synod Lutherans,Wahabist Muslims and more groups than I can list think that only they will go to Heaven and everybody else will go to Hell.
I cannot figure out their concepts of God since they seem to be completely incompatible with a God of Justice,Mercy,Compassion,Love,Goodness and Wisdom.

There is only One Church...
All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven

LOL ...............It is a good question.
Mind you ALL RELIGION say the same, CHRISTIANS seems the strongest.
Muslim I believe say :
All good people ( prior to Islam) go to heaven,
All good people ( who never heard Islam) go to heaven,
All sins is forgiven except syirk ( believe that there is other God beside God THE ONE, WHOSE NOT BEGETS NOR BEGOTTEN , and all those who make a co-equal of God).
I think follower of Moses said most of them who obeyed the 10 Commandments will go to heaven. (1st Command is the one very Important).
Wisdom of Lao Tze, describe TAO very clear.
Budha ......easier to follow, hard to become .
Wouww.............to make my life simple and less worrying, I just try not to harm myself as much as I can ..........I may slipped off sometimes- "stand" back as quick as possible and not repeat the mistake, but try hard to avoid/get away from, those slippery paths .
