Because they're hypocrites

I don't see a difference between Jesus turning water into wine as well as performing other "miracles" than using witchcraft. I've had many a conversation with other people centering around this comparison.

Witches are "hated" by Christians because they have been taught to do so for many many years. If you research it you will find that the Roman Catholic Church was so afraid of the Wisemen/midwives/medicine women gaining power over the population that they wanted for themselves that they began the witch hunts.

Ignorance. Many are afraid of what they don't know so it's easier to fear and hate than to gain knowledge and understand.

You have to understand the difference between science and witchcraft (which is "hated" by science as well as by religion). Note that the German word for science is essentially "witchcraft" because of the similarity between witchcraft and science. In science and technology we use formulas, procedures, and rules to have an effect on our environment. Just like witches would use spells and potions. The difference is that science assumes and depends on the fact that anyone could repeat the experiment at any time and get the same result. Witchcraft depends on the relationship with spirits, demons and powers to accomplish the work of the magical procedure--particularly spirits, demons and powers that are made to obey through the force of will of the caster or through bargaining with the spirit. Magic is very much about the magician. For example, if you were to discover the formula for a potion that if you drank it would make you invisible for an hour and you could publish that formula and anyone who followed your instructions could have the same result then you would have a science experiment not magic.

Miracles, answered prayer, and all of the instances of God suspending his natural laws are strictly from the will of God not because somebody else was controlling God. The sovereignty of God is one of the main characteristics that make God, well God. He is the prime cause, the ultimate power, etc. and is not manipulatable. Forget magic, ask humbly and maybe if it fits in God's will something may happen.

Magic is a form of idolatry. There is no distinction between making a god and making a god do something. Which is diametricly opposite worshiping and petitioning your Creator.

Jesus's miracles were the will of God as was his death. (Obviously not Jesus's first choice. See Link.)

because in the old testiment (leviticus) there are several passages warning people away from witches and medium's.

(even though King David, and King Solomon both consulted them)

and in the new testiment Paul echoes these statements.

Christians have been taught by their greedy churches to hate everyone else. if you read the Bible in it's original language, and in the context of the period of which it was written. many things change a lot.

and Jesus claimed to have fulfilled the old law, making the old laws obsolete. however people still pick the things out of the bible that work to their own agenda, and then make it seem like that is still applicable...

ex.

Leviticus speaks against Homosexual relations. and people go nuts over Gay Marriage because of this.

however leviticus also says that taking slaves from neighbouring countries is ok.

that selling your daughter as a slave is ok.

that it is a sin punishable by death to plant 2 crops in the same field.

that it is a sin punishible by death to wear clothing spun of 2 different fibers (cotton poly blends would be illegal)

yet none of these things seem to apply. as i said, people just choose what parts they want to follow. and use the rest as a weapon against anyone that offends their limited sensibilities.

Jesus is seen by Christians as G-d's son incarnate. Which means he was acting through G-d's will and power.

Witches are seen as acting through their own power, or sometimes even Satan. They are seen as doing their own will instead of G-d's.

I can tell you that most Christians do not hate Witches. They may not agree with their life choices, but they far from hate them. Just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean they hate you.

The Baby Jesus was anointed by the magi and gold was given to his parents so that they could escape with him to Egypt. When Jesus was in his twelfth year he went into training as a Magus. When he emerged from his training as a Master he began to make his mark on the Roman/Hebrew world with his Magick.

Though many will deny the above, none can prove it false.

Just one story of confrontations in the Book of Acts between the power of witchcraft and the power of God:

Simon the Sorcerer

9Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, 10and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power." 11They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. 12But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.
14When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. 15When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into[c] the name of the Lord Jesus. 17Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money 19and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

20Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 21You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. 22Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. 23For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin."

24Then Simon answered, "Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me."

1) Christians are afraid of anything they can't control witches are things they can't control.
2) They say that witchcraft is counterfiet of satan, however I must ask how can they tell between something done by God and something done by Satan. after all Satan could very well say that he is doing God's work.

Its like having two men guarding a fork in the road, one road leads to one's doom the other to safety, one man always tells the truth and one man always lies the problem is how can you tell who is telling the truth and who is telling the lie.

Jesus was showing us divine power given by a high acclaimed source that is found in God Almighty. I don't know what witchcraft acknowledges (can't speak about what I don't know).

The difference is the source.

Christians don't hate anyone. They simply disagree with the notion that any witchcraft could be "good" because the bible says all witchcraft is evil, due to its source. If christians tolerated witchcraft, then they would not be very good christians. What do you care? Are you one of those people who feel the need to be liked by everyone?
