This is a rough group my friend. They require hard proof and evidence. They would actually have to have a miracle happen right in front of their eyes so don't be offended by some of the answers that you will receive.

Ah but if I exist then a god cannot, therefore you're wrong and no gods actually exist. There you go - conclusive proof of the non-existence of your deity.

I think you mean "evidence", not "proof".

So, how is my existence evidence that a god exists? In giving evidence, you not only have to give the observation, but also state how that observation lends itself to a conclusion. That is how a theory is constructed.

I'm an atheist. If god existed, then I wouldn't.

Therefore, if I exist, I can only hope that god has packed his longjohns 'cause it's frikken cold out there in oblivion.

I always hear the computer analogy. Suppose you wonder who created the computer, you can contact the inventor and manufacturer. Why can't you do the same with God?
