That's the problem. Some people believe in things so strongly, even if they really are lies, (eg. the earth being flat), that they believe that to be the truth, and thus you can't really extract the 'real truth' out of them.

Science will at the end be the only reliable source for all answers... Life, the Universe and everything.. But it will take time... another 2000 years? Religions I believe will eventually fizzle away. This era will be known as the second dark age.

Well its going to take someone to stand up to big time religious leaders and say PROVE IT. Show us how you and your faith/history got to where it is today. Ask what violent acts had to take place to make this happen?
Make them afraid of losing their possessions and losing their power. Then they'll be squirming around in a state of panic because they too are afraid of ridicule. Then the lies will be exposed.

What you want to do is, literally, prevent other people from saying things you don't like.
There's always been a surefire defense against lies. It's called common sense and skepticism. If you think someone's lying to you, check things out for yourself.
If you're trying to prevent people from lying to begin with, you're going to disgust a lot of people, myself included.
Other people can say and believe whatever the hell they want, there isn't anything you can do about it, and the fact that you want to, in and of itself, is enough to give a lot of atheists a bad name. Way to set things back a couple decades.

Unless of course belief in god is based on neither delusion nor lie. By the way. Belief in god will not end in this world until I am dead. And I intend to outlive you ; )

Dawkins has been exposed.
Everything Dawkins says that people repeat about people who believe in God can be attributed to those who believe whatever Dawkins says.
And anyone who continues to repeat whatever Dawkins says, just because he said it, is continuing to deceive him or her self.
If they truly thought about what Dawkins says they would be able to see past his rantings to the scared little boy railing against the truth that he is.

so if you visited a civilization where everyone had always been blind, you would be cool with them medicating your delusions of being able to "see"?
is it really so hard to imagine that some people can perceive things that you can't?

Lies can only be defeated by the Truth.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me." John 14:6.
Like it or lump it, the truth is the truth.
