Not only read it ,studied it as well.
It is the most fascinating book ever written .
As for converting what do you suggest we use to convert people to the bible ? Little red riding hood.

It takes a spiritual mind to read a spiritual book.
The unsaved cannot understand the bible any more than a 1st grader can understand quantum physics.
All I tell an interested person in God to read is the gospels. The Spirit will take over from there.
You start with Genesis and you will most likely never make it.

because they believe that the Bible is Gods words, alive and working, that's why it's called the "Living Bible"
it may bore you but it has been a source of great comfort and deliverance to many through out the ages and now and a source of Love, Salvation, and deliverance.
so they want to share this wonderful gift with others

I agree, I think the Bible is a bad way to show people that God exists and loves them. I'm thinking we're just supposed to love everyone as Jesus did and show by example a changed life through Him.
By theay, that's what the Bible says we should do.

You think that is tough to read when those Muslim people come on here with the Quaran and start quoting it and it sounds like all the same and it is like Greek.
They say there now take that>
Okay, now what did it say?
Or the King James Bible of ancient English with a bunch of stuff we have no idea what it said.
Leave it to scholars to translate into to days English.

Christians or any one else can not convert anyone. Only God can do that. Read in the Bible John 3:16.

The bible is an HORROR BOOK, I used to be a Christian , after I read that book full of filth, I knew that it could never possibly be the word of a God

have you actually told them(as in whichever christians youve encountered)that you just were not interested, chalk it up to the same annoyance level as a telemarketer calling you on the phone (though im sure reactions vary) See one thing i learned about 20 years ago people can only affect you if you let them, if you let someone push your buttons they will. last bit of advice for you , never argue with an ignorant person , they drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Terrible grammar, but a great point. (Yes, I do typos once in a while, but it's rare. You had more time to write your question than I had to answer it. I rushed.)
If Christians actually read the Bible honestly, they wouldn't be Christians. It's not that well written and it contains many vile things and some really bad stories.
The same goes for Muslims and the Quran, and people of other religions.
No gods exist. Religion is just a superstition.

Actually the Bible isn't boring at all, until you get to where they list all the ancestors. I hate that part! LOL!
But if you know where to read the Bible is full of sex, romance, and history!
