Is there anything I can do to get him to not pee in the house and mark my furniture?

I've kept him outside most of the time, but now I'm moving to an apartment where he'll have to be inside all day. How should I train him to stop peeing inside?

At petsmart or petco, there are products that covers up the urine smell. He is marking it because that's were he last marked it.

You have to catch him in the act and tell him in a firm voice NO!

It's become a habit now, plus he can still smell the old pee even after you've cleaned it and thinks that this is his spot now. Try rearranging your furniture. Block him from those spots by putting cardboard or an object in front of it. Get a product like UrineBGone and give everything a thorough cleaning. If it's mostly in one room, block him off for a while. Does he have a problem holding his bladder and just pees all the time whenever he feels the urge? If so, maybe the vet can help with that.

Your dog is asserting its dominance over you and your furniture. Your dog does not respect you. I suggest putting it back in its place so that it stops marking your furniture. Your dog needs to go through the door last, eat last, do not let it sleep on your bed or sit on the furniture, do not pick it up or move out of the way for it. Do not feed it when it begs. If you can do this then you are halfway there. Clean the furniture with an enzyme degrading cleaner. Put your dog immediately outside (within 16secs) whenever you see it mark the furniture. Do not speak or yell. Do this with out emotion (yelling away from your dog is fine) or your dog will feel that this attention good or bad is great. Let your dog out regularly to go to the toilet and leave it outside for a while. Start treating your dog like a dog and see if he doesnt improve. Good luck

Try a shock collar, it helped my dog. just shock him when you see him peeing, and then throw him out side, keep up with it and be firm, and maybe that would help.
