marine corps officer stuff mostly. enlisted leathernecks go to sd or parris island. officers go to quantico to learn whatever officers need to know. also brainy mugs study new weapons systems and strategies and tactics. more officer stuff. enlisted stuff is more immediate gratification stuff like knocking the snot out of each other in marine corps martial arts classes or with pugil sticks and other things like that. officer stuff is more intellectual stuff that hhappens at quantico. to each his own -- it's all good in my beloved corps.

Marine Corps Base Quantico is located near Triangle, Virginia. Known as the "Crossroads of the Marine Corps", it is a major Marine Corps training base, covering nearly 100 square miles. The Corps' Combat Development Command is based here, which develops strategies for Marine combat, and makes up most of the community of over 12,000 military and civilian personnel, including families. It has a budget of around $300 million. The Marine Corps Research Center at Quantico pursues equipment R&D, especially telecommunications, for the Marine Corps. In addition, the FBI has its principal research and training facilities here, including a mock village, numerous labs, and equipment test ranges.

It houses the Headquarters for the FBI and also OCS (Officers Candidate School) for the United States Marine Corps. Other than that it is pretty much like any other Marine Base around the globe. **==

Yeah, like metioned before it is mainly there for OCS & the FBI. Marines also get training including field ops, land nav, and they go through the obstacle course there.
