When I realized that I was an atheist my "entire world" was filled with theists. It had no effect on my beliefs, whatsoever.

Ha-ha.
If the whole world told me it was night time and I could see the sun I would still disagree with them.

I can not CHOOSE to believe something or in something.
I can not choose to believe in the existence of InvisibleSkyThingys when I know that such a belief as well has having no supporting evidence, is just patently insane.
Yes - insane.
Theists everywhere are under a hypnotic-like influence saying things like 'I know the lord' or 'I do the lord's will' ... you've all heard all the inane and banal things that they say ... I could NEVER say anything like that even at my most low - actually that's when I should do it for I'd crack myself up. LOL

There's good money to be made from religion IF you can keep a straight face.

I would defiantly still remain atheists I would have to have my very own reason(s) to believe and not blindly follow the entire world correction, the rest/majority of the world. It would only be entire world if there wasn't a living person or more that didn't join the rest of the believers.

For all intents and purposes, the entire world pretty much does believe in a deity of some sort, and yes I would still be an atheist.

Sorrowfully that will not happen until after the second coming. Even then some will be born even with God living on earth they will refuse to see or believe. It's man's nature.
I have never studied or read of a religion that doesn't say something like " Many will be called, but few will be chosen."
Choose join the crowd or be an individual with a relationship with Jesus.

I am not a sheep. My view is because of, well, MY view, not a crowed follower thing.

P.S. Even if I was the last atheist...apparently the entire world would not believe if I existed, there would still be one.

If all the world stopped believing in the various gods, would you too?

I would stay an atheist, but I wouldn't say that aloud: religious people gets violent when they say they have a lot of people to support them... I don't like the idea of being burned alive

Atheists are part of the enitre world kiddo. So as long as they don't believe then the entire world can't belive. So that's a silly question.

Disbelief in god comes from personal reflection, consideration, and the use of the faculty of reason in evaluating the evidence for and against the existence of a deity. The arguments and opinions of theists are considered, and obviously rejected. The number of believers doesn't really matter.

However, given organized religion's history of torturing and murdering non-believers, I might be inclined to keep my beliefs quiet out of consideration for my own hide.

Yes. I have never and will never be a follower. I believe the brain in my head is there for me to think with,as yours is to you and so on.But some people seem to believe that they should be doing the thinking for everyone else but themselves. That in my opinion is the only thing that stands in the way of humans getting to the next step in evolution. The ability to use ones brain to think for themselves and not just believe in a God because someone trained you like a puppy from childhood. Repetition is how you train a dog,Same as taking your kid to church and telling he/she day in and day out that God is real.
