Can my 2mth old baby have a flu shot for influenz A? I have an 11yr old daughter aswell who brings alot of colds and illnesses home from school and want to protect them both from this deadly outbreak - I live in QLD.

Follow your children's pediatrician's advice regarding vaccinations. Do not deviate from that. Some vaccines can be given early, others must wait until the child is older.

I think your 2 month old is too young for that but you would need to contact the doctor.

Not usually, a baby this young is still considered protected by the mothers immune system. When your daughter comes home from school have her wash her hands real good, change into her home or play clothes she wears around the house. When she plays with the baby, have her wash her hands good.

If you still have concerns talk to you doctor, he'll advise you what to do.
