It's not the end of the world. I've done a bunch, and although the pay was junk, I met some cool people, and sometimes the experience was fun (e.g. working at a Corvette show for a 1-day assignment, etc.)

Plus some temp jobs are temp-to-hire, which can be good.

It depends.....Were you with the same temp agency for years? It also depends on the industry. If you are a computer guru- this is very common...
