Stupid cooking answer, let it boil for about 15 minutes.

There are two methods for boiling; first is to place the corn in cold water and bring to a boil and the second is to place the corn into boiling water. I do the second; cooking the corn for 6 minutes. Then I drain off all but a little of the water and keep it on a warm burner, partially covered, until needed. It never overcooks. However, this method works best when you are making a limited amount of ears that will fit in a large, deep skillet or sauté pan. I never completely cover the ears with the water which is why they don't overcook. I do turn them over once through the process. The first method of putting the corn in cold water and bringing it to a boil works well with larger amounts of corn cooked in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. You simply cook the corn until the water comes to a boil and it is done. No timing is required, just pot-watching.

But my older sister cooks her's in the microwave, it tastes the same and quite quicker. All you have to do is wrap it in waxed paper, twist the edges and microwave on high for 2 minutes, depending on the size of your microwave.

I usually bring the water to a boil, put in the corn, let it come to a boil again and then turn the stove off. That way the corn gets cooked without any more help from me. But the best way ever is just to open the husk but not remove it, take out all the silk, wrap the husk around it again after washing the corn. Put it in the microwave for 5 minutes, and you've got hot, cooked corn!

Turn down the heat to right above medium to keep the water boiling and cook covered for about 10 minutes. Use tongs to take the corn out of the pan as it will be very hot. You can get those corn cob holders at the Dollar Tree to stick on each end to be able to hold the cob. Smear with butter and salt and pepper, yum.

When I cook corn I put a small amount of water in a large pan instead...bring that water to a boil...add corn and cover...cook about 5 minutes or whenever the corn changes colour and looks cooked...different times for different corn/tastes.
This saves a lot of time as you don't need to wait for a huge pot of water to boil. About an inch of water should do it.
I want corn now.

Quick question: Why are you boiling it? Boiling removes most of the nutrition. Don't you have a microwave? Wrap your corn in a piece of paper towel. Wet towel thoroughly. Place in microwave and cook on high for 7 to 10 minutes depending on how well done you like your corn. If you like it still crisp, but piping hot and tasting like it just came off the plant, 7 minutes should be enough. If you like it soft and mushy and tasting like you defrosted it yesterday, go for 10 minutes. Enjoy your corn.

Cover and keep it at a boil. The amount of time to let your corn boil ranges from 1-10 minutes depending on how soft you want your corn. I like it reallllly soft, so 10 minutes it is!

Turn the stove on medium-low and when you put the corn in the pot, cover it. Covering the corn prevents the lost of nutritients. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes and eat!

Let it boil, you can turn it down a bit but keep it boiling. The corn should turn a nice golden color, in about 10 minutes. Bon Appetite

U boil the corn, so you leave it on a higher setting

I dont boil it tho, i grill it.
What you do is you soak the corn in water for one hour, husk and all. Then you put tin foil over the grill, and put your corn on the tin foil. Leave it for about 15 min with the grill closed. Its soo good!

you dont have to leave it on high just make sure it stays at a boil...also you can cheat and add a tsp or 2 to the water to sweeten the corn
