I left it in the carboy for approx 18 months while I traveled, it was a 4 week wine kit. I am just wondering if I can go ahead and bottle it, or if it may have gone bad? All of the steps have been completed up to the filtering stage.

May have an off flavor since it was not filtered. Keeping it in a sterile carboy would not hurt it at all if there wasn't much air space and it had been filtered. Same as keeping it in a large cask. I'd filter it and give it a try. If it has gone "vinegar" then you can always use it for salad dressing or cooking.

May end up being really good. I wouldn't throw it out until I tried it. If it was kept cool and dark, you never know

I would think it may have oxidized in the carboy, but I would taste it to see!

It will be fine IF the airlock didn't dry out. If air got to it then it's probably no good. All ya gotta do is taste it to find out though. If it still looks, smells and tastes good, bottle it!
