Hi, i have made an excel document with a table in it so i can type in some numbers and it will do calculations on it. I was just wondering if there was anyway to kind of turn this excel file into some sort of exe or flash file, something to make it full screen or just to have all the editing tools blacked out so its just the table with my inputs? I want to be able to click an icon on my desktop and it will just load up my table.
If anyone knows the type of thing i want i would be very grateful.
Thanks

Open My Documents, where your file is located.
Left click on the file, click "Shortcut", Paste to Desktop.

The simplest method for non programmer is to use the “full screen” function. You can follow the following steps to create the type of excel file you want:

1. To determine the number of row and column you need, say 3 columns and 10 rows (the range will be from A1 to C10)

2. Hide the rows which you don’t need by clicking the row header, then right click and select “Hide”. You can perform this step faster by clicking 11th row header, hold Shift + Ctrl key while press arrow down key.

3. Hide the columns which you don’t need by clicking the column header, then right click and select “Hide”. Please refer tip in step 2.

4. Click the Name Box (on the right of fx function) and type C11. Click Window in menu bar and select “Freeze Panes”

5. Click View in menu bar and select “Full Screen”

6. Save your file on Desktop

You should only see the menu bar, “Close Full Screen’ icon and your data now and when you open your excel file subsequently.

After a strong Googling session about 4 months ago, I found a great .xls to .exe converter that's free and I've used it extensively on various projects. It's easy to use without any bugs (that I've run into, at least). I got it from this website, which has a few other free and useful tools also. Check it out for yourself: http://cpap.com.br/orlando/
