Unlike protein, carbohydrates and fats, vitamins do not yield usable energy when broken down - they are truly calorie free. However, they assist the enzymes that release energy from carbohydrates, proteins and fats, while providing no energy themselves. This does not mean vitamins are not important! Although the vitamins themselves don't provide energy, many are required for chemical reactions that do produce energy. In this sense, vitamins can give you energy.

Vitamin B12 is involved in the biochemical reactions in our body that are important in the production of energy from fats and proteins. Vitamin B12 is important for the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system and for the formation of blood. It is involved in the metabolism of every cell of the body. Vitamin B12 is naturally found in foods of animal origin including meat, especially liver and shellfish, and milk products. Eggs are usually mentioned as a good source, however they also contain a factor that blocks absorption . Fortified breakfast cereals are a particularly valuable source of vitamin B12 for vegetarians and vegans.

A mineral would be Chromium Picolinate. Some commercial organizations promote chromium picolinate as an aid to body development for athletes and as a means of losing weight. But a number of studies have failed to demonstrate an effect of chromium picolinate on either muscle growth or fat loss. Sales of chromium picolinate have skyrocketed after reports that it helps the body build muscle, reduce body fat and lose weight without dieting. Chromium is an essential trace element naturally found in foods such as broccoli, cheese and brewer's yeast, helps the body metabolize blood sugars, and assists in the processing of fats & protein.

Vitamins and minerals don't give you any energy. they are just needed for some important chemical reactions in the body. There is no one food which contains all. Just eat lot of vegetables and fruits and a little meat too.
Sorry if u mean general well being , each and every vitamin and mineral is important. Eat balance diet containing all categories with more stress or fruits and vegetables. (if u take some vitamin tablets in excess there can be some bad effects too).

vitamins and minerals themselves dont "give the body" any energy at all.
carbohydrates, fats, and protein do. they are used up in th body to create energy.
minerals and vitamins only HELP these processes for energy production, so even though you may hear from energy drinks and industry saying things like that, its just a scam to try and sell stuff.

if you are eating enough vitamins in your diet, extra stuff wont help you much. always make sure you eat enough carbohydrates proteins and fats and dont believe the industry when they tell you vitamin B keeps you active for the whole day.
I know this may not be the kind of answer you expected, but its the truth and hopefully you will get it!.
just eating right will help you feel energized througout the day.

remember, vitamins and minerals by themselves dont provide 1 single calorie. carbs protein and fat do.

calories is just a way to measure energy, just like miles is a measurement for distance.

good luck

B-12, B-6 - you should rate the 1st answer as the best. He is totally right. B-6 and B-12 both help with depression, mood swings, energy levels, etc. They also have injections (shots) that work faster, but you'd have to ask a dr about the shots, compared to the ones you buy at Walmart in the health portion of vitamins.

B-12 Vitamins give a boost of energy. No foods naturally have it. A lot of vegan food has it added.

Vitamin B12 boosts energy. It comes from animal proteins, but these are also slower to digest. Leafy greens are also a good source of energy.

Fruit burns too quickly, like refined sugar, so mix non-starch green veggies with a small amount of protein.
