Place the strawberries in the freezer for a couple of hours. Once they are frozen, place them in the blender with a banana, about 1 cup of milk and sugar to taste. The frozen strawberries will make your smoothie perfect!

First of all, put the strawberries in a bowl, sprinkle w/ sugar and a few tablespoons of water. This will make almost a sugary syrup. Freeze the strawberries. Trust me, the smoothie will taste so much better w/ frozen strawberries.

strawberries in syrup
1 large banana
1 cup milk
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 ice cubes

Blend 1st five ingredients in a blender. Add ice cubes 1 or 2 at a time through top of lid while blending. Serve immediately.

This is oh so good!! :)

Well, it depends whether you want a fast smoothie or a really good smoothie.
If you want a fast smoothie, put 1 cup milk, 1 banana, six strawberries, six ice cubes and sugar to taste in the blender. Blend until smooth. It takes a lot of blending and you still get little slivers of ice.
If you want a really good smoothie, put the banana, peeled and wrapped in saran wrap, in the freezer over night. You can freeze the strawberries, too, if you want. In the morning, put 1 cup milk, 1 frozen banana, six strawberries and sugar to taste in the blender and blend until smooth. It gets smooth a lot faster and doesn't have slivers of ice. I make mine with honey or agave nectar instead of sugar, because it's better for your body. Enjoy your smoothie. Try it sometime with a teaspoon or two of raw cocoa powder in it from Sunfood Nutrition. Awesome!

Freeze your strawberries and banana (in skin). When frozen (all or most of the way), toss fruit into the blender, add a splash of milk, skip the sugar unless the strawberries aren't sweet, and blend. You can add a cube or two of ice, if you like.

It's not that hard... you can freeze the fruit for a thicker and colder smoothie. Then you don't have to add ice. You can add either milk or water, but add it a little bit at a time so you don't overdo it and make it too liquid. The amount of sugar depends entirely on your taste. Start with one heaping spoonful and add more if it's not sweet enough.
