Maybe your mentor could help.
A question like this is why research should have been done before breeding.
And questions like this is why your dog should have been spayed and not been allowed to have a litter.

Sighs..........another BYB.

A dog is in heat for 21 days so she should be still swollon. Any resposible breeder would know this. You did not bread her but bred her ( hope you know what yiou were doing there as teh wrong size and etc can be fatal for your dog.
you will need to take her to the vet in 31/2-4 weeks for an ultrasound which is the only way to know for sure and to make sure there isn't any complications.
I hope the male was smaller that the female and that is also going back at least 3 generations or the pups can be to big for her to deliver and you can loose her and or th pups or she may need an expensive c-section.
In teh meantime check into the local laws of selling puppies as in a lot of states you have certain responsibilties which will cost. like getting all shots done, worming and giving a guarantee for health and hereditary problems which can occur several years down the line.
THIS IS THE REASON YOU SHOULD DO ALL CHECKING AND SEARCHING BEFORE YOU DO THESE THINGS.

You have no business breeding dogs. Note the spelling-BREEDING. Bread is that stuff made from yeast that you eat. BREED is a mating.

Since you obviously know s h i t about dogs, get yours spayed. Right now. Call the vet and tell them you want to be RESPONSIBLE. Do you have ANY idea how many dogs die in shelters?!? Or do you not care, because you're far too busy being a clueless backyard breeder to care?!?

If she hasn't bled at all yet, then she's not in heat.
Stage one-- swelling/enlargement of the vulva (aprox 1-2 wks)
Stage two-- bleeding from the vigina (aprox 1 wk, longer if this is her first cycle)
Stage Three-- about 7 to 10 after she starts bleeding, she should be in heat and will stand to be mounted. (heat last aprox 1 week)
Stage Four-- Vulva returns to normal size. Dog will not stand to be mounted.
Stage Five-- Dog will go into either a false pregnancy (where she shows signs of pregnancy and isn't.) or into anestrus (a period where she dosen't ovulate aka no heat) OR will be pregnant and have puppies.

The only way to confirm pregnancy is to go to your local vet and get a blood drawn pregnancy test. UNLESS you want to wait until ultrasound or x-rays can show the pups.

The correct word is not bread, it's just bred.
Now you will have to wait until her heat is over than bring her into your vets at 22 days into her supposed pregancy to be certain if the breeding took.

NO other way before than to tell.

You don't "bread" dogs...unless you are going to eat them.
Go and get a clue!! You have no idea what you are talking about and the poor dog will have to pay the price for having such a nimrod for an owner.

How does one "Bread" a dog?

Why has this dog not been in the presence of a veterinarian?

I really hate to tell you this.. but I think you need to bring your b*tch to the vet immediately for an oopherectomy... it could save you girl's life.

By the looks of your question you should have done way more research before you bred her and not be doing it now. Take her to the vet and if she is not pregnant please get her fixed

Why are you breeding your dog when you obviously haven't researched even something as basic as the gestation period?
Haven't you heard??? There are enough unwanted puppies in the world without yours, too.
Spay your dog.
