I just wanna see how the answers from guys & girls differ. My boyfriend doesn't think it's a big deal to search for old flames on these sites. I think it's kinda weird.
Let's assume for argument's sake that you're not in school (HS OR college), that you're happy in your current relationship. Do y'all actually do this? And how would you feel if your significant other was?

There are a few differant reasons there could be... One woudl be just to see what she looks like now (if it has been a while) pure curiosity... i mean were there friends after the break up... and he just wants to see how shes doing or what she has been up to..... I have searched for old flames but not because i like them like that anymore just to either be nosey and laugh at their new ugly girlfriend, or just to see how they are doing in life... sometime when it has been awhile you find out they are married or have children.... But if it is an ex that you think he still has feelings for i would look into it... or ASK HIM.... if you trust him then take his word for it.... if you dont trust him that's a whole other issue..... i mean is he trying to contact her... or just look at her page... i dont know if it really makes a differance... i have to admit i would be suspicious if my boyfriend was doing it.... iwould definetly have some queations for him.... but the best thing to do is ask him why... go from there... i would not call it weird though..... let him know that it bothers you too!

LOL no. I'll do you one better. I check my ex boyfriend's baby mama's facebook because his is private but he's always commenting on her stuff. And also I like seeing what a train wreck she is, it's like watching THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW, highly entertaining. Last week she was complaining about what a busy day she had, having to drop her kids all off at school, her husband at his job at Wal-Mart, AND, go to her appointment at the welfare office. It still boggles my mind that someone would just post that on facebook for her five hundred friends and everyone else to see.

Hm... I would become suspicious. I would ask him why he was looking for her all of a sudden... and if he said "just friends" I would watch him.

Would not bother me at all. Sounds like it might be fun to do.
