My male cat, neutered, began peeing blood today. I've noticed he's been squatting weird lately. Like, it would look like he's peeing but there would be no pee. Then today I wake up and find little puddles of blood everywhere. My guess is he has a bladder infection. Unfourtanetly, I was just laid off of work so I don't have very much money.

I was wondering if there's anything else I can do or give to him, to cure him??

Please help!

Thank you

He has a urinary infection. My friend's cat just had the exact same problem. The best thing is to take him to the vet, and they can give you canned food that helps your cat's urinary infection. The vet visit cost her $50 and the cans are .50 cents each. It wasn't too costly. In a few days my friend's cat was much better and gained weight after eating the food. good luck

Whether you have much money or not he has to go to a vet. You would go to a doctor if you were peeing blood right? He will only get worse until he has the correct diagnosis and treatment. In the end he may die in terrible pain. That's not the way for any animal to go.

Honestly I am not being mean, but it is mean and crule to let him suffer.

Please take him to the vet. if you have been working with the same vet for a while he may well let you do a payment plan. If not put it on a credit card or borrow the money. As a last result surrender him to a no kill shelter. Whatever you have to do you can;t just leave him this way.

Good luck. I know you can get this sorted.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

U gotta go to the vet tomorrow. Explain to the vet that you have little money just now , nearly all vets will treat them now and allow you to pay up the fees gradually over a period of time. They also have a scheme paid for by animal charities for people on benefits.
You could try the pdsa if your on benefits they will help.
Whatever you do you must take your pet to the vet . you can be prosecuted for cruelty if you do not and the animal is suffering.
Sound like cystytis to me .( is it trying to pee very frequently ) if it is a simple dose of antibiotics from the vet will solve it
all the best hope everything goes well

Sounds like a UTI.... ask the vets about a "credit" program. I've heard of CareCredit and Citi Health doing the same thing for animals as they do for people at doctor's and dentist offices. You apply and see if you have credit. You could also find a doctor that would allow you to make payments. You'd have better luck with a farm vet then a city vet.

He has cystitis. You need to take him to the vet ASAP. He will probably have to have an operation that opens his bladder thru his stomach. He will die without it. He is very sick and in pain. This won't go away and can't be treated without surgery.

I'll bet you're feeding him a grocery store brand cat food like Friskies or Purina? These have high ash content that contribute to this problem. Feed Science Diet or Nutro. Cats can still develop this problem on those foods, but it's too late for your cat.

Take him to the vet ASAP. It sounds as if he has urinary crystals. This can be common in male cats, and he will probably need a special diet after treatment. These crystals can actually block the urethra and create a potentially fatal blockage, which can come on very quickly. He deserves to see vet even if you cannot pay. Contact your local vets and explain the situation, and if none of them will help contact your local humane society.

This could be much worse than a UTI- It could be a condition called cystitis- where crystals form in the urinary tract. This could ultimately lead to toxemia and kill the cat. It is very common in neutered males and is often diet related. Call your vet and arrange a payment plan. Your cat needs his help.

It sounds like he has a urinary tract infection (UTI) very common in male cats but it needs to be treated early by a vet. Call around and see if you can find someone who will either take payments or who offers reduced costs for services.

Please try to spend the money and take him to the vet. My cat started peeing blood and eventually died from it due to a kidney infection that wasn't treated ahead of time. Google cheap walk in vet places around you or ask friends if they know any good yet cheaper vets. Good luck.
