I've actually read quite a few. It would be impossible to read them all because my head would explode (and perhaps some people would not be dissapointed).
These are some good questions. I'm gonna answer them one at a time, then give my personal views.
1. Do you assume that the Scientists and reporters are purposefully trying to undermine your belief system?
Sometimes. It's obvious which ones do because they use words like "obvious" to try to solidify their belief that my belief is false. All they can produce is evidence, and as long as that's all they claim it to be, I'll give them credit for their research.
2. Do you believe they are lying to try and confuse you?
Not the reporters. I think they like to distort evidence and be very manipulative, but they do whatever they can so they can say they weren't lying. Scientists, however, can lie and get away with it. There's so many stories of that happening, both for and against my beliefs. Research any major topic, like evolution, and you'll find scientists on both sides that will give flat out lies to prove their viewpoint.
3. Do you believe they went to school for many years to learn how to hid the truth about God? Or are they really just trying to help the human race with understanding?
Both. If you took a course from a professor who learned lies that contradicted my beliefs, then you would be indoctrinated with the same lies, and may not know that they're lies. But for the most part, I think their discoveries and experiments and research are an attempt to learn the truth.
4. Considering how much Science has given us as humans, through Medicine, Technology, Shelter, Food Production, Exploration, can you explain why you could believe that science is trying to harm the human race and lead mankind astray?
Scientists, for the most part, don't like the idea of anything that they can't explain. Supernatural things make their calculations and findings flawed. The number zero, for instance, almost caused worldwide chaos until people understood it better. That's what my beliefs seem to be. When people don't understand it, they might feel that they either have to invalidate it or accept it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now my opinion on the whole thing. Scientific stories are a good thing. They usually challenge my faith and my knowledge of the truth. I know more about the world's contradictions to my beliefs ever since I went through a Christian college. I can't say I know everything, but I know where to find the resources to research any topic. Every Christian should be equipped and informed of science. It's wrong that they shun science because of the contradictions, but when enough study is done, they'll find the truth.
I am a staunch Christian yet also believe in science. I like Paul's statement that we should "beware of fables so falsely called as science". In other words *some* science is mere speculation that is promoted as science fact. Some scientists are believers, others are agnostic or don't care, others - perhaps a few, do like tweaking the nose of believers and try to debunk their faith.
Case in point... long ago a scientist found a tooth and proclaimed "AHA! This is the missing link between man and ape". He received many honors and was knighted. Turns out later on it was discovered it was just a common boar's tooth.
Sometimes religious folks do the same.
Case in point... a dinosaur track was found with a human footprint inside of it. New Earth Christians say "AHA! This disproves the scientists who say the earth is billions of years old." Turns out the same tracks had other tracks nearby of the same footprint... with 3 toes... just another smaller dinosaur. The humanoid footprint was just a dinosaur track where the mud slumped over making it look somewhat like a human track (if you doctor it some). Some Christians even know this and still stick to their claims!
Both Christians and scientists make mistakes, both are too proud to admit their mistakes... thereby millions stumble. The Bible does not condemn science but rather science fiction that is promoted as science fact. Even Darwin, after all his theories... admitted that the complexity of life showed forth a Divine Creator... and that was without knowing about DNA and the complexity of THAT!
in case you recognize that your faith especially muchs needs to regulate how human beings think of (ATHEISTS ARE undesirable reason they have not got self belief) and you already understand you're able to do those issues--your are some million/2 thank you to understanding which you do not could do something. you will have self belief this faith when you have examined it and discover no remember if there is substance to the memories or they're made up. Even you do not could have self belief something--because of the fact of countless innovations washing concepts. All human beings could be intellectually user-friendly. Any theory could be examined by utilising the gentle of day in an impartial vogue. do not enable them to commence with conclusions and cherry %. bits of info to help that place. purely--be intellectually user-friendly--take all the info obtainable and then come to a end approximately your perception. you're some million/2 thank you to psychological honesty purely from what you have mentioned.
I do not think scientists are trying to hide the truth about God.
They are not lying or trying to confuse people.
Even scientists disagree among themselves about many things.
When I read scientific stories that disagree about my beliefs, I examine my beliefs in light of God's word and the science and wonder if they can be compatible. If they can't I wonder when scientists will discover more evidence,
What is the root of this knowledge (medicine, technology, shelter, food production, exploration, etc.)? That's the question that needs answered. The answer is God, therefore, He deserves all the credit. Otherwise, we give ourselves praise for something we had a small part in.
depends. if it's an article saying stuff like "there was ice in judea" or "a tomb was found", then yes. usually (like big bang or evolution), no. they may just not like the idea of a God though. as would be reason to do research, since understanding the origins of the univerce isn't exactly curing malaria.
not necessarily. there have been documented frauds, so it isn't out of the realm of the possible, but usually, I just belief in error.
I believe they went to school to appear intelligent and to make money. like I said, the Big Bang won't cure malaria.
medicine helps us. technology helps us. architecture, dietary sciences and trying to find potential soultions help us. the exploration of evolution and trying to contact alien beings will not help us back here in the real world.
No. They report the "truth" of the evidence at hand as they see it. That is not a problem. A man can school himself for 144 years, and still be unable to tell God anything, but God never has a problem telling us what to know and when to know it.
I have yet to read a scientific 'story' that is at odds with my beliefs. It is a misnomer that all Christians are against science. It is a beautiful revelation to me, as beautiful as the Bible. I am in awe at God's work and science reveals it so clearly.
Quote from a person above me:
"Science actually supports the biblical record of just about everything...so I have NO problemo with science at all."
How can people delude themselves so much?
Science is fine, if it is in agreement with the Bible.
There is some "science" that really is trying to lead the human race astray. How about vaccinations that contain mercury and kill people and cause disorders? How about some weaponry that can "destroy the earth 100 times over"?
Not all science is good. Some is evil. And all is subject to the Bible. If it disagrees with the Bible, it is wrong, no matter what anyone says.
