You guys really shouldn't be dating if you can't even carry on a natural conversation... clearly you don't know each other well enough or aren't very comfortable with one another. You can't force conversations in a relationship, they just have to happen.

Ask him things about his past, like what was your life like when you were growing up, what is your best memory of it, what is the earliest memory he has, where his family is from and how far back can he go in his family history. Ask him how he feels about God, angels, ghosts, etc. Ask him if he could go any place in the world, where would it be. How he spent the holidays when he was growing up. That's just a short list but, think along these lines and expand on what you learn. Good Luck!

start by talking about your similar interests be it fashion, movies, music, sex. then talk about the things that are different. it gives you a chance to know and learn him. it also builds a friendship that is essential for your relationship. try to be as open as possible and be honest at all times. do not lie just to make conversation. be real.
you could also do fun stuff together that allows for comfort around each other, remember the more comfortable he is around you, the more he will open up and talk. good luck

Whatever you both like to do, or what are some of the dreams of the future. What would he like to be, and you?
If you each had a million dollars..what would you change....
How about some movies.....his ideas on them and yours
Friends, clothing, school work...or play spin the bottle Lol
Why not try one of those games, where you draw or he,
and try to guess what he is drawing or you. Get the game Deal or no Deal, hangman...they are free on the computer,
Hoped this helped a bit.........Depending on how old you both are...strip poker.......over 18 thou.

See movies and plays and read books together. If you're both in school, take similar classes. If possible, go on day trips together. Do you have any similar interests? That's a good place to start.

ask him, if he could be any animal, insect or amphibian what would he be. he has to name it and what about the animal has his personality. IE. a turtle. turtles like to hide when they are threatened. they are shy at first but will warm up when they are comfortable. turtles are survivors, they can hatch from eggs and find their way to the sea. it might seem weird, it is fun just to see what they are. i married a pig.

not with the right person sounds like you two might not have much in common, people who are meant to be together never run out of something to say.
