I am looking for preschool for my daughter. Please help me finding a good private or public preschool which has a balanced approach in playing and learning. Safety is also one of the most important criteria.

Call your local elementary school, social service agencies, and churches and make a list of the programs they tell you about. You are so very right about a balance between playing and learning, because children learn so, so much through play. Check out program licenses, and teacher credentials, and make sure the children's schedule allows for both structured and structured activities. Visit the programs, and observe a class in progress. After you have chosen a program, try to volunteer some time in the classroom so you can see firsthand what your child is experiencing.

If you are looking for a co-op preschool. Then Milpitas Parents Preschool is worth looking into. I have been at this school for the past 3 years. With my oldest daughter now 6, and my son attends this school. I now am serving 2 years as School president and work side by side with all the parents, children and staff. We offer a 1/5 child ratio.Your child will learn how to play with others, hands on learning by mastering their fine motor skills by gardening, paint, H2O play, arts and crafts, and we teach Pre K readiness. The tuition is a reasonable monthly rate. Take our on line school tour and see for yourself at milpitasparentspreschool.org
