Was never there in the military but spent much time there on and off in the 90's. I did go on base to work at the Credit Union and the base looked just fine to me.

El Paso has plenty to do and lots of places to eat. You can take the Trolley into Juarez, go sand sledding at White Sands, go up to Mesilla and eat in a place where Billy the Kid hung out. Carlsbad and Roswell are a day trip. There are all those young guy's at UTEP and did I mention that Las Cruces NM is a college town too.

I went to Bliss for the First Sergeants & Sergeants Majors Courses.

Nice Post, plenty of space, Lots of PT in the desert and run Mckilligon Canyon, training at nearby White Sands

Plenty to do in your spare time - Juarez, Mexico and New Mexico is about 30 minutes north of Bliss.

It gets Hot then cold in the early A.M. , sandstorms too!
