I know that eventually I will find a job as long as I keep on looking. Its just taking its toll on me, to go to job interviews without success. I guess my question is how do I regain my energy and strength to keep on with my search

Lots of people get jobs by "connections". Tell everyone you know that you are looking for work and if there is an opening at their company. You have a better chance sometimes then just sending in a cold resume.

If you have been on alot of interviews, call back and ask the interviewee why you were passed up for the job. Tell them that you want to improve your chances next time in getting a job. This will give you some insight as to where you are lacking. Don't feel too bad, we all go through this,,, even those with MBA's!

Below is a website that is sponsered by the department of labor. Life at a Job Corps center can be an exciting and educational experience. A Job Corps center is a great place to complete an education, learn a marketable trade, make lifetime friends and graduate with a good job in hand. Each Job Corps center is unique. They all, however, feature campus-like settings with dormitories where students live.

Job Corps provides its students the guidance and support they need to lead them to long-term employment and success. The student life cycle includes four phases:
Eligible ages are between 16 & 24.
Outreach and Admissions (OA)
Career Preparation Period (CPP)
Career Development Period (CDP)
Career Transition Period (CTP)

Hope it helps!!

I would start with some of the temp agencies that way you can gain job experience and a lot of times it can get your foot in the door if there is a permanent job that comes open at a business. Having temp jobs listed on your resume' is a lot better than nothing plus you will be earning money. Two of my family members got their permanent jobs this way and have moved up the ladder to making more money and having job security. Good luck!!

Hey fellow job seeker!! I have been in the same position for a while ! Plus I am older. . . . I have good days and bad ones. I allow for the fact that I have bad days and that they seem to last a while. I find that getting outside and being with people helps me a lot. Some days I'll be in a grocery store and I'll see someone that inspires me like this older gentleman shopping for his groceries with a tank of oxygen hooked up! I stopped to tell him what an inspiration he was!! I realized my situation was good and that I was being emo about some things. I helped me a lot. So get out there and try to find something positive to help you when you start to feel down and know you're not alone. Reach out to others and you will find that there are some good people out there and that you are one of them.

you should try applying with some Staffing/Placement services. They can find out what you are looking for and assist you with getting your resume in front of the right people! Plus, you have options when you go through a service. You can consider different companies and industries. This should help ease the pressure of doing EVERYTHING by yourself! Get some help from professionals!! Look in your local phone book under Employment Agencies.

I would recommend Learntosucceed.biz There you can learn everything you need to become better at interviewing. Its run by very experienced hiring manager so he knows what companies are looking for in a job candidate. You can even speak directly to him on the phone. Total cost was low-about $30 for their materials and access to the phone advice. It worked for me when I was looking.
Best wishes and good luck

go to a temp agency because they have more resources and most companies like to go through temps in order to test out people meaning to see how they do on a job...its better off because then you could see what you like or dislike without having to go through the hassle of giving two week notice or feel guilty for quitting so soon. but don't just rely on temp agency go online to apply and look for jobs and even look in empoyment papers...you could also try going to a counselor if you are in highschool or career services if you went to college. alot of the time if you talk to career services in your school they can post jobs on the school website or give you a whole lists of website to go to for jobs..but the thing is don't give up searching..keep on it

I'm having the same problem. In fact, I just asked a similar question this morning. I think I'm just going to go to a temp agency in order to get some money. Maybe that'll inspire me to find something better.
