definetly...reducing the carbohydrate intake and replacing those cals with quality proteins will do wonders for increasing insulin sensitivity and helping to decrease body fat. however you only want to use whey protein for pre/post workout and any other time of the day you would want to use a blended protein powder.

a recent study showed that too much prtein adds up to fat.
i mean sure a shake wouldnt hurt but dont down the protein shakes for every meal.
