i need to lose 40 lbs in 3 months anyone got any ideas

1000 cals is starvation. you will screw up your metabolic rate for sure and gain everything back and then some once you restart normal eating habits.

if you didn't gain 40 lbs in 3 months don't expect to lose it in the same amount of time...the rate of fat loss is always several times slower than the rate of fat storage. this is basic human biology

There are some 1000 cal diets that you can find on the internet. I have used one before and I think if you are only going to be on it for a couple months to lose the weight fast it won't hurt you. I lost 30 lbs in 9 weeks. I also excersised ALOT. Of course you will gain it all back when you resume eating the same as you do now. But for a fast fix, it does work.
I ate a small protein for breakfast( poached egg or 1 oz farmer cheese) 1 pc. fruit, 1 pc. toast and 8 oz. skim milk.
For lunch I would have 3 oz. lean protien, 1 pc. fruit and a salad.
Supper was 4 oz lean protein, cooked vegies(anything except corn or peas) a large salad with lots of raw vegies and a diet drink.
I never ate after 4pm.
Drink lots of water and excersise. It will happen if you stay motivated.

Any answer without knowing at least your height, weight, age, current physical condition would be irresponsible.

Unless you're 4 feet tall, 1000 calories would be far too little energy.

Cups of low fat apple sauce are only 50 cals... oatmeal, lots of water, fruit leathers are also a plus!

eat 1200 calories.
if you eat only 1000 youll metabloism will slow down.
