If you bleach your hair, you will more than likely need a good reconstrucor. If you are planning on bleaching the entire head with store-brand products, it will damage your hair a little more than it would in a salon. I suggest you get Joico K-Pak Chelating shampoo, Reconstructor, and Intense Hydrator. You will want to use these products once a week. Use the shampoo, then put the reconstrucor in and leave for 5 minutes. You do NOT want to leave products that have protein in them longer than what the directions state. Protein can build up on your hair and cause brittleness and breaking. If you use this correctly, it will really strengthen your hair and add shine. After the 5 minutes, rinse the hair in lukewarm water, towel dry, and apply the Intense Hydrator. You will need to leave this in for 5 minutes also and then rinse in cool water. These products are great because not only do they strengthen with the reconstructor, they moisturize with the hydrator. If you use these products for a few months, you will notice that your hair is a lot stronger and shinier.
You will be able to straighten, curl, blowdry, etc... your hair immediately after bleaching if you use good products to help strengthen your hair. (Like the Joico) Also, I would get Farouk Systems Silk Therapy and put it on dry hair before flat ironing. The Silky Therapy protects your hair from heat AND has silk proteins that help reconstruct your hair. It will keep your hair from getting frizzy and make it very shiny and manageable.

Pantene's line of Pro-V Restoratives is pretty good for bleached hair. I suggest using a creamy shampoo and conditioner rather than the clear types. It's okay to straighten and curl your hair probably a few times a week, but don't go overboard with it. Cermaic curlers and flatirons are ideal for colored and/or processed hair because it is gentler than the metal barrel curlers and irons.

When I dyed my hair blonde, I used to condition my hair with either cholesterol or used a leave-in conditioner, both you can find at your local beauty supply store. I also used a silicone serum to coat my hair which is great protection against heating tools (curlers, flat irons, blowdryers, etc.)Bleached hair requires a lot of moisturizing and care.

The link below may help also.

You can't use any products which are supposed to color your hair and then wash out (they won't wash out), if you try coloring your hair with a coloring mousse or shampoo the color can be more intense, your hair will start to become yellow later(a bit) if you don't color them after bleaching (hope you do), strong bleaching looks unnatural because you loose difference in tone between different parts of your hair(want natural blonde - you need kind of very soft highlights or lowlights). Use common products for colored hair but remember that you need strong ones. try oil masks, they restore your hair fast (apply oil 1-5 hours before washing, then wash 2 times).

you shouldn't wash your hair for 24 hrs before coloring, and it should be clean (no hairspray, etc.) make sure you use a shampoo/cond for colored hair (like loreal color vive) and don't straighten/curl for at least a week. generally, your hair WILL be drier, so don't abuse it by blow-drying/styling daily. even if it means looking crappy on a Saturday, let it air-dry every now and then to give it a break from the blow dryer

Just don't use the spray on dye some people use for halloween...if you hair is artifcillay colored a light color it may not come out.....(hot pink espically) lol
Look for shampoo that says right on the bottle "safe for color treated hair" but what really works well for any color hair (natural or not) is that John Fredia stuff- I love it andI notice when people use it
