Hi:
I have lost 20lbs in 6mos walking on the treadmill and burning 500 calories but I still have belly fat and am NOT seeing any dramatic change to my tummy even though I have lost weight all around.
Would running on the treadmill for the same time (40mins) but burning only 200 calories be a MORE effective way of getting rid of my belly fat.
I am NOT trying to lose weight - only want to get rid of this stupid belly fat (which is depressing inspite of dieting strictly and losing so much weight).

Thank you very much.

Burning calories is burning calories, no matter how you do it. I would try sit ups to get rid of the belly fat. The treadmill is focusing on your butt and legs.

To tone your tummy, try doing sit ups and "core" exercises. See your local Y or fitness centre for more information.
