Because Christians have found a way to twist the concept of free will around, so that it somehow still fits with their beliefs. I know they do this, because I have seen them do it. I can not really explain how it works in their minds, but it is something like--God gave us free will because he wants us to make the right choice..... pretty much like what Jane just said.....but it makes no sense to me...not if free will is truly free will. *sm*

I find it hard to believe that people are calling you vulger names then professing to be Christian. Hardly Christ-like. But you can't judge a group based on the actions of a couple people's bad decisions.
It's kinda like this: You're about to put your hand in a pot of boiling water and I (a Christian) say "Don't do that, your going to get hurt". But your response is "freedom of choice". And you allow your hand to get burned anyway. Certainly you do have freedom of choice, but wouldn't that be wrong of us if we didn't warn you about the consequences of your actions?
And by the way, how can you claim something as given by God, then deny that God exists?

What if galaxies were made out of giant dolphins and we were all viruses? What if a tornado came over my house right now and sucked me up? What if? No need to ask if questions regarding free will, it's a myth so why even go there. ;)

Your choices are your own. I will not criticize or admonish.
I am a firm believer that beating people to death with the Bible gets us nowhere.
May, I, however, be extended the same courtesy, and be allowed to express my beliefs without ridicule?
Thank you!

I can accept your choice as long as it doesn't interfere with my choices. What you can't have is free choice which prevents the free choice of everyone else.
That's fair, isn't it?
Or do you consider yourself a "god" who can take away the free choices of others?

Christians get upset any time you insinuate that there's NO SUCH PLACE AS HEAVEN. Ha!

My dear friend... because we have freedom of choice, it means that we have the choice to be tolerant of others' thoughts, or not.
Just as one can freely choose their beliefs, they can freely choose to be tolerant or intolerant of others.
So, your question, to me, is showing that you have freely chosen to be intolerant towards those that freely choose to be intolerant toward you.

He gave you the option to choose so that you could CHOOSE to glorify Him. Wouldn't it mean more to you if your child chose to make you a gift instead of their teacher making them do it?
