Ok well my little brother (he's only 11) has a very friendly and smart rat and so he was letting him crawl around the kitchen floor and some how he got into the 3 inch hole (that we didnt know about) in one of the cupboards. We've tried getting him out with food, he eats a little bit of it but then when u pull it out farther he wont come, we've tried usin pedro (my rat) to get himout but that doesnt work, we've set food on the floor by the hole and that didnt work either. My mom is getting really frusterated and we dont want to have to cut up the cupbaord so what should we do to get him out?

Just leave his cage down on the ground in front of where he is and leave it there. He will return back to it before the morning.

well my rat Cheesecake did the same thing but it was in the bathroom.
unfortunantley we could not get her out so my dad had to take the whole bathroom sink/cupboard apart in the middle of the night at like 1 in the morning! he didnt get done putting it back together till like 3 oclock. but im sure if u sit real quiet... but some cheese in front of the hole, then put about 5 pieces of cheese in a line he will keep eating them and come out!! i guarantee this will work.

ONLY PUT TINY PIECES OF CHEESE BECAUSE THEN HE WILL WANT MORE AND COME ALL THE WAY OUT.

Last night my rat got stuck in a dashboard. I could see her most of the time, and occasionally could get close enough to touch, but I couldn't get her out.

I stayed up all night trying =- \ I live in Florida, so if she'd stayed in the dash till midday she'd have been fried.

I went to a shop around 8ish and they popped out the radio for free. With that done, it was a piece of cake. Nerve-wracking though.

Same advice as the rest of them. Open cage with food inside.

Leave an open cage on the floor with food in it. he will eventually get hungry enough to come out and enter the cage with the food. Just be patient.
