I am building a 3000 squre footage house in a subdivision in CT. The framing was just completed. The work on the roof will be started this week, and the window will be put this Friday. The kitchen cabinet is ordered and will be delivered in the middle of Sept. I was told by the builder that the house would be completed by the end of September. Is this timeline reasonable?

Houses are going up faster/faster.. My parents are building a house and they just "broke" ground last week and they were told about 5 months. So, I would think your timeline is resonable given the weather and such.. However, don't be too surprised if things get stalled by codes, orders and misc. things... Good luck

wow a site built home. So many ppl are doing factory built homes where the pieces are put up on the site so it cuts time down by several months. We had a 3500+ sq foot home site built. From framing to move in it was 6 almost 7 months mostly our fault since we changed our minds several times and then went with custom built cabinets, shower, lighting, counters and flooring. I dont think if your totally set on all your decisions that septmeber is an unreasonable timeline. however always remember acts of mother nature/shipping and so forth can not be avoided. Good luck and contracts on your new home

it depends on who is doing it, how many people are working at any given time and the number of hours they put into it............but either way, congrats on your new home
