Don't waste your time. Seriously... Go to school for a real career don't pay money for someone to teach you how to bartend especially if you are a women. Many places will take a chance on a girl who is cute to attract male customers. Get a job as a cocktailer and learn the liquors and ask the bartenders questions on down times about drinks. Going to a school doesn't automatically get you a job. If you start as a cocktailer and know your stuff you are right there with your foot in the door to snatch the job if it opens.

I've heard that it is better to get a job as bartender's assistant and learn on the job. Get a good bartender's guide and learn the basics of mixing drinks. Most bars and restaurants only hire experienced bartenders so why not earn money while you learn.
