This post is a bit confusing, but Islam and Judaism are NOT in any way the same. Mohamed read The Holy Bible hundreds of years after Jesus came to earth and the Holy Bible was written. Mohamed incorporated piecemeal portions of The Holy Bible into The Qu'ran in an attempt, in the hope of giving his creation of The Qu'ran and his creation of Allah some parallelistic validity and common threads. Anyone who has studied the historical time-line sees the fallacy in Mohammed's allegations and claims.
Islam does not believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of Almighty God. Islamics do not believe that the God of Abraham, Issac, & Jacob is THE ONLY God of The Holy Bible and the creator of the world.
Islam has no plan of redemption nor of salvation for ANY/ALL people period. Paradise is only offered to Islamic men. The only offering for Islamic paradise through the Qu'ran, Islam, Mohammed, and Allah, is by Intercession of The Martyrs in The Qu'ran and that is ONLY for men, because Mohammed and his created Allah place ALL the sins of an entire male family members on the females in the family.
The females, who have less value than a dog in The Qu'ran, are given their men's sins & perish in the place of their male family members. The only way for an Islamic woman to obtain Allah's paradise is if their male children willingly become suicide bombers and kill not only themselves but they must kill others who are not of the Islam belief. If the mother's male child is successful, then the mother attains the lowest tier of Islamic paradise when she dies.
Jesus Christ says, "WHOSOEVER will..." Jesus did not/does not discriminate race, nationality, sex, political affiliation, nor established religion background. Christians, male and female alike, are not required to kill and/or convert unbelievers before they will be assured an eternity in Heaven with Almighty God and Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is not about political/social world domination, Jesus Christ willingly gave His life as the perfect sacrifice acceptable to Almighty God to insure that ALL mankind can be offered/promised/insured redemption and salvation.
Jesus Christ performed miracles of healing the blind, deaf, dumb, lepers, bleeders, crippled, mentally ill, feeding people, paying taxes, freed the demon possessed, & other physical/spiritual restorations/blessings in the presence of multitudes...Mohammed and Allah did not.
Jesus Christ walked on the water, calmed the storms, & raised the dead...Mohammed and Allah did not.
Jesus Christ was crucified, was buried, and was resurrected to new life on the 3rd day...Mohammed and Allah were not.
Islam, Mohammed, Allah, & The Qu'ran at its core teaches global political/social death and domination to ANY & ALL who are not Islamics.
The Holy Bible, Jesus Christ, & Almighty God at its core teaches repentance, forgiveness, love, redemption, salvation and assures WHOSOEVER will call on the name of The Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved and promised/insured/guaranteed an eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ, believers, & Almighty God.
There is NO comparison.

No, a person must be a practising Muslim to enter the Heaven. Muslims who are Muslims only by name will be placed in deepest depths of Hell, for pretending to be Muslim. If Christianity was the right religion there would be no need for Islam to emerge, but Christians don't even follow the Bible, they just follow the parts they like and leave parts they don't like, so it's obvious that Christianity is a false religon.
Yes, if you want to achieve eternal life in Paradise, you need to embrace Islam. Everyone will achieve eternal life anyway, but some will live their eternity in Hell.
The purpose of Islam is worship of the only God alone and to achieve salvation by living in obedience and submission to Him.

the purpose of all religious faiths is to explain things that people don't know the answers to. to take away the fear that comes with the unknown and the fear that life really is not in your control.
the "fear" aspect is actually something that is designed to get followers, not necessarily to have any meaning.
I'm guessing you were a catholic/christian and brought up with this "fear tactic".
Its actually a very good marketing tool for getting followers. however it really is the mark of a religion created by heartless people who are just looking to manipulate and control your emotions.
you know that my god mr. bigglesworth actually says if you are a christian you are going to a place lower than hell, but if you are a muslim or jew you only go to regular hell (florida). Therefore why not convert to my religion?

First of all, you have no idea what Jesus said. The stuff written about Jesus was written decades after he died, if he existed at all, by people who never personally met him.
Religions all have hooks to gain and keep converts. Most have some sort of Heaven that you can get to through good works or praying or doing good, by whatever definition of "good" they use. Others promise divine help if you do what their god likes, while you're living. Or it promises access to special knowledge.
Jews and Muslims both believe in a Heaven. Buddhists promise some sort of divine enlightenment. Hindus promise some help from the various gods, and a reincarnation to a better life if you do good.
Just remember that all religions are superstitions. They are a way for people to allay some fears and offer pat answers to hard questions. In reality, there are no gods. When we die, we're just dead. Some people would rather believe in a fantasy than accept what is real.

"Why should a person convert to your faith if there is no need for them to enter Heaven"
you're right, why should they convert to judaism if they don't need to? that's why very few people convert to judaism. they don't need to, and we don't tell them to.
"And if they do not need to convert to acheive eternal life then what is the purpose of your faith?"
loving and serving G-d, feeling a connection to the source of all things, being a good person, breing a part of a tradition and community, all kind of things.

I can't speak for Muslims, but here you go again deciding that you are the expert in the Jewish religion. We do not actively recruit or try to convince people to become Jewish. Jews have their own idea of the afterlife (actually many ideas) and we do not feel it's at all important that everyone should believe the way we do. We are happy to let people believe what is in their hearts.....why aren't you?
Right on, Jewish Girl and Xander!

Judaism is far more concerned with the here and now than with the afterlife. Your question assumes that "entering Heaven" is the only goal that one should have.
One should convert to Judaism if its tenets, beliefs, and ways of living offer you something that you feel helps your relationship to fellow human beings and to G-d. Otherwise don't.
The purpose of my faith? To provide the above. G-d will take care of the rest.

your question is confusing but, in islam you need to convert and believe in Allah and worship Allah. running rivals against allah, or believing some other god or faith is forbidden and those will not go to heaven
?????
and to the guy above you need to show effort to complete the five pillars of islam, not lying and stealing isnt enough

Because our religions focus on leading a good life, not just swearing by someone who claims to be the only way to heaven.
Religion is religion, just because you claim to be the only way to heaven does not mean it's true
EDIT:
Thank you Nadine, as a fellow Jew I am happy to see other Jews standing up and speaking out against misconceptions about our religion.
EDIT:
Another thank you to Jewish Girl, same message applies
