I rate him right up there with P. T. Barnum. The major difference is that the authorities caught up with KH and put him in prison.
ADDENDUM
"he is a learned man."
Yeah. With a degree from a phony degree mill and a "doctoral dissertation" that neither he nor his alma mater will publish for public viewing. "Fraud" is the word that comes to mind.

A fine man who preaches what he believes is true. I believe he has some insight on things, excepting not paying taxes. As a citizen of this fine country it is needed to keep up our roads, air ports, brides, etc. Though as a church why is he required to pay taxes? Also was is it that many folks in the Bible were called ignorant and unlearn-ed and was taught by revelation, as was John the Baptist or others. Why are the government guys afraid of revelation?

I think Kent "prison wife" Hovind is experiencing first-hand the many wonders of the intelligent design behind the human banana and the many orifices it fits in for the next ten years thanks to the miracle of massive tax fraud.

Honestly, the man's an idiot, the worst kind of zealot.
It's not enough for him that he's been proven wrong, time and time again--he feels that he somehow HAS to prove himself right, by any means. Since he can't do it legitimately, he uses the equivalent of a sledgehammer, beating at his opponents until nothing remains. It does nothing to prove his point, it only removes his opponents, which he thinks will prove his point by default.

I think he had a crummy lawyer that couldn't get him to beat the rap.
I also think that he will spend alot of time in the slammer going over US Tax law.
You may not have to file, but you can not lie when you do.

I'm not a fan. His quarter-million dollar prize is a sham. Is he still active in creationism from prison?

I think he challenged a law of man that is unjust (the income tax "law" that is unconstitutional and feeds international bankers rather than citizens of the USA). The penalty for civil disobedience is sometimes jail, but I see him as of God.

He has a wonderful ministry. I learned a lot from him. He is a bit judgemental and his mode of salvation isn't the same as what the Apostles taught. Otherwise he is a learned man. I pray that he finds the truth some day.
